2023-05-122023-05-122023-05-122018-11-05http://repositorio.ifam.edu.br/jspui/handle/4321/1251This article presents some reflections about the role of public policy SIE (Indigenous Knowledge in School), based on the perspective of teacher Kokama who works in the Nova Esperança community in the city of Manaus. The objective of this work was to verify the contribution of SIE in the improvement of indigenous school education of the Kokama people. This action seeks to promote the continuing education of indigenous school education teachers, especially those who work in the initial series of basic education in indigenous schools. This project offers didactic and pedagogical resources that meet the specificities of the community organization. The present text expresses the process of re - signification, of reorientation that this action provided in the pedagogical practice of teachers towards intercultural education, especially to the context of the Kokama community - New Hope.
