Due to this fact, it is very important to carry out a study of the behavior of these equipments, to form and to develop maintenance plans to allow the level of reliability, availability and life required. The Maintenance Plan contains the information necessary for guiding preventive maintenance activities. Through a good maintenance plan it is possible to improve the production processes, guaranteeing quality and reliability, besides the reduction of costs, focus of maintenance. For the elaboration of the maintenance plan of the machining machines of the laboratory of IFAM, the following methods of maintenance management were used as: Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Planning and Control of Maintenance (PCM).
