2023-05-152023-05-152023-05-152011-12-122236-7934http://repositorio.ifam.edu.br/jspui/handle/4321/1269This study aimed to make an ethnobotanical survey in the riverside community of Joarité, city of Careiro Castanho AM, in order to identify the species used in folk medicine, the plant organ used, how to use and therapeutic purposes. A semi-structured questionnaire was applied to residents of the community. We identified 36 plant species, distributed in 25 families, the most cited were: 11% Lamiaceae, Euphorbiaceae and Rutaceae 8% any one. The leave are the most widely used and tea is the most usual way of cooking. The main diseases mentioned were: flu, colic and diarrhea.
