With the growing demand for wireless connectivity in business and residential environments, Wi-Fi Mesh technology presents itself as an innovative solution to expand network coverage and improve the user experience. This course completion work aims to present a literature review on Wi-Fi mesh networks. For this, a literature review on Wi-Fi mesh networks was carried out in databases and academic publications, theses, dissertations and book chapters. In conclusion, Wi-Fi Mesh networking technology is an innovative and efficient solution to deal with coverage and performance issues in traditional Wi-Fi networks. With the ability to expand network coverage without compromising connection speed and stability, Wi-Fi Mesh networks are especially useful for environments with many connected devices and multiple access points. Additionally, setting up and managing a Wi-Fi Mesh network is relatively simple and intuitive, making this technology an affordable option for both home and business users.
