The most frequent being bone fractures; hip dysplasia; rupture of the cranial cruciate ligament; dislocations; osteoarthritis; aseptic necrosis of the femoral head and postoperative recovery. It is important that veterinarians include physical therapy in the treatment of these animals, as it can provide: reduction of pain and inflammation at the injured site; improved function and quality of movements, with increased strength and amplitude; assists in tissue healing and also prevents or minimizes atrophy of muscles, cartilage, bones, tendons and ligaments; contributing to the well-being of patients.
