As a result of industry 4.0 focusing on intelligent production, rapid prototyping enters this context, as it is a means capable of revolutionizing production processes. Bearing in mind the growing importance of this technology as a part production process and considering the need to have greater discernment and a guide on possible applications in companies, this present article, based on a literary review, aims to present the impact of the use of printers 3D in industries 4.0, based on possible cost reduction and its impact on sustainability.
