    A importância da manutenção em sistemas hidráulicos

    With the continuous industrial technological advancement, the implementation of preventive maintenance plans in hydraulic systems has become indispensable for mitigating catastrophic failures and optimizing operational performance. This study aimed to analyze, through a bibliographic review, the relevance of preventive maintenance in preventing unplanned downtime and ensuring the functional integrity of hydraulic systems. The methodology consisted of qualitative research across databases such as SciELO, Google Scholar, and technical industry manuals. The results indicate that the hydraulic pump, as a critical component of the circuit, requires rigorous monitoring, given that fluid contamination is the primary cause of premature failure. It is concluded that preventive maintenance, in addition to reducing occupational accident risks, is fundamental for increasing component service life, enhancing machine availability, and reducing emergency corrective maintenance costs.
