    In small and large buildings, fire protection should be seen as a legal obligation and an indispensable duty to protect, above all, human lives and the assets involved. Therefore, the prevention, installation of processes and methods in fire prevention and firefighting can not be neglected in favor of cost savings, as their damage can be irreparable. This work aims at the elaboration of a fire prevention and fire prevention project in an automotive center, located at Av. Nhamundá, Praça 14 de Janeiro, in the city of Manaus - AM, adopting the Fire Prevention and Control Plan (PPCI). It highlights the characteristics of the fire and ways of extinguishing it. It presents how the development of the fire occurs, its phases and its classes. List the main combat equipment and fire prevention techniques, their peculiarities of installation and elaboration. It also presents the current situation of where the project will be implemented and the challenges that still need to be overcome for more effective prevention. It is concluded that the prevention and protection methods described in the PPCI project and adopted in the study under study comply with the regulatory technical standards of ABNT and the legal requirements of the State of Amazonas, with its consequent approval and release by the Fire Department.
