Alimentação saudável: da escola para a vida! Guia didático para professores
(2024-03-13) Guida, Vânia Marília Lima; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martínez de
This Educational Product originated from the dissertation entitled “Healthy eating with comic books in elementary school: a dish full of information and fun” developed in the Postgraduate Program in Technological Education (PPGET) of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology do Amazonas (IFAM), Campus Manaus Centro (CMC). Its objective is to collaborate with the work of Elementary School teachers, more specifically in the Natural Sciences discipline, with the theme of adequate and healthy eating/Food and Nutritional Education so that their students can learn in a contextualized and fun way. The product brings, in addition to fundamentals for the teaching proposal, a Didactic Sequence based on the Food Guide for the Brazilian Population (GAPB) and an authored Comic Book. Understanding the importance of taking care of your diet is fundamental to making good choices, but also understanding the dimensions of food in human life.

Curso introdutório para construção de texto de divulgação científica: guia didático para professores
(2023-02-24) Lopes, Jonatas Brasil; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martínez de
This educational product entitled Introductory course for the construction of a Scientific Dissemination Text: a didactic guide for teachers is the result of a master's research in order to develop a teaching-learning proposal to collaborate with the production of a Scientific Dissemination Text (SDT). It is organized in 2 units: 1) Theoretical Guide: for a deeper understanding of the theoretical basis that guided the conception of the proposal; 2) Teacher's Guide: to help in the planning of the implementation. In this proposal, we intend to develop some fundamental skills that the disseminator of scientific knowledge should have to produce a Learning Topic and promote Scientific Dissemination: a) Identify the initial resources for the composition of a SDT. b) Appropriate the parameters necessary for the composition of a SDT. c) Prepare a SDT following quality criteria based on the rubric. It is hoped, therefore, that this product can help students, teachers and even publishers in the promotion of Scientific Dissemination.

This product is intended to assist biology teachers in addressing the general and contextualized microbiology theme in the Amazon. Despite advances in knowledge about the microbial diversity of the Amazon, few teaching resources or content are available for its direct application in the classroom in basic education. The fundamentals and resources presented in this guide can help instigate students at this level of education by using examples from our region to mediate learning in microbiology, assuming that contextualization can facilitate the construction of new knowledge based on those who already accompany them experience.

Helminthiases are intestinal diseases caused by helminths (worms), representing a significant challenge for public health. This problem is aggravated by the disparity in the distribution of basic sanitation services and the lack of information about infections, their modes of transmission and prophylactic measures. Thus, one of the ways to promote health and encourage healthy lifestyle practices is through health education in the school environment. This practice not only encourages changes in behavior, but also contributes substantially to improving quality of life and fosters the development of knowledge that promotes self-care. In this learning context, the use of comic books can be presented as a didactic alternative that facilitates the teaching and learning process on the topic of helminthiasis. Comics and their various genres have become popular in recent decades and have been inserted into the school environment with the purpose of assisting in the development of learning situations. Therefore, this research aims to investigate a didactic proposal systematized in the Three Pedagogical Moments (3MP), focusing on teaching and learning the theme of helminthiasis through comic books, aimed at high school students. The approach adopted in this research is qualitative in nature, using participatory research as its methodology. Data collection took place through the application of a diagnostic questionnaire, the answers to which helped both in verifying prior knowledge about the topic in question and in characterizing the subjects; and final questionnaire for the research and production of digital comics, in addition to participant observation. The results of the questionnaires were tabulated and analyzed in Microsoft Excel and presented in the form of tables and graphs, while the comics were evaluated based on an analytical rubric. The educational product resulting from this research is a teaching guide entitled “Health education from the production of comic books: teaching guide”, which presents a didactic proposal for health education in high school. The use of 3MP in conjunction with the language of comics, combined with activities centered on the active participation of students, played a fundamental role in the engagement and motivation of participants throughout the pedagogical activities. This resulted in a better understanding of the content studied and the acquisition of new knowledge related to the forms of transmission, symptoms, causative agents and prevention measures for helminthiasis.

Learning can be built based on our experiences and through interactions with the community. In this sense, it is important to teach new knowledge at school based on regional context, so that it can get closer to the reality of the individuals in the learning process. In the case of microbiology, which is part of the curricular content of Biology in High School, this premise is even more relevant, given the complexity of the content and the invisibility of microorganisms. Therefore, the objective of this dissertation was to elaborate on a microbiology teaching strategy based on the Amazonian microbiota, proposing a didactic sequence based on the assumptions of David Ausubel's meaningful learning. The development of this research took place in two distinct stages: the first consisted of the analysis of high school textbooks, to verify how the microbiology contents were contemplated in these works, and in some way, microorganisms from the Amazon were mentioned. In parallel, a survey was carried out about published works that are easily accessible on the web, which used some Amazonian microorganisms as the object of study, from the perspective that they could subsidy to teach microbiology topics. The second stage of the research was subdivided into 6 meetings with 30 students from two classes of the 3rd year of high school at a state full-time school in Manaus, in the State of Amazonas. In this stage, previous organizers and concept maps were used as instruments for data collection, diagnosis, and evaluation. The maps were applied individually and collaboratively and analysed using Topological Taxonomy and Analytical Rubrics, containing criteria that describe the qualities that should be highlighted during the evaluation, namely, the levels of performance, and the quality of performance, which it is the description of what the teacher expects each student to achieve. The results obtained showed that the textbooks did not include regional content, demonstrating the lack of support materials for contextualization at the regional level. We verified through a systematic survey, that there are countless published scientific works on microorganisms in the Amazon and that they could be used for direct application in the classroom. The application of the didactic sequence showed the enhancement of learning in microbiology exemplified with Amazonian content, causing a noticeable increase in students' empathy for the topics covered, and is reflected in the evaluation of the final conceptual maps. Therefore, the didactic sequence proposed here proved to be valid to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge of microbiology contextualized in the Amazon. And yet, both the evaluative and analytical instruments proved to be adequate and useful for teaching general microbiology and in the Amazon context.
