They are transmitted by the female gender of the moskito Aedes aegypti and today, they are presente in all brazilian territory. The Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education created a program called School Health, which approaches about ways of prevention for these diseases and the promotion of health. It’s school’s and teacher’s responsibility, as health promoters, to spread the knowledge about the vector, its characteristics and etiological agents. In this research, we verified the effects of prevention campaigns and awareness in students of a federal institution, evaluating the researched population knowledge about the vector and its etiological agents, comparing the level of knowledge of the different educational levels. Coming from the idea that health education is liked to the meaningful learning, the tool for this research was a semi-open quiz, which application was done in two steps: 1) The quiz was applied to check the students previous knowledge. 2) The quiz was applied after classes with exhibition of a biology didactic video about the vector and its diseases social-political-economical implications using a PowerPoint® presentation with recent and contextualized information about these arboviruses. As result of the first avaliation, we noticed that campaigns that are external of the schools environment had better impact in every researched class. We verified a difference between classes from the graduation level and high school level, with a better development in the first ones. Its suggested that more intense activities about diseases prevention can be done inside of the institution and more attention to be given to the contents related to this theme in courses of teachers formation willing that the promotion of health be na activity independent of the promotional campaigns only done during the epidemics.Item Desenvolvimento de software: ferramenta de ensino de micologia para o nível médio(2017-12-15) Pinheiro, Hannah Karoline Andrade; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Lira, Antonio da Fonseca de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2666579666823512; Oliveira, Adriano Teixeira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9164471794674935Biology teaching, over time, has been modified and updated concerning to the new methodologies and technologies of teaching Science. With the advance of computing, the computer promoted a series of changes not only on the robotics, medicine, agriculture, but also on education. In this sense, several studies point to the use of computer technologies to offer a diversity of new proceedings and resources of content learning, beyond the exclusively theoretical approaches. The main objective of this work was the development of a software as a tool of biology teaching, with a specific focus on mycology, studied in the middle school as the Kingdom of Fungi. It belongs to a wider chapter denominated Microbiology. The lack of connection between the microbiology topics and the life routine turns the learning of this important theme to a challenging task. It is necessary to develop strategies and technologies of teaching and learning that helps the teacher to stimulate the students to get curious about microorganisms and the possible relation of them to disease, food conservation, biotechnological applications, and so on. Understanding the contribution that an educational software can bring, a database software was developed as teaching resource about fungi, macro- and microscopic images, morphologic characteristics and the main properties of different genres, pathogenicity and/or biotechnological interests. The software DIGITAL MYCOTECA was used with students of the first year of the high school level of the Centro Educacional Santa Teresinha Analyzing the qualitative quantitative Questionnaires, initial (M1) and final (M2), answered by the students and the application of the practical class realized in the software laboratory, it could be seen that the proposed classes including the software DIGITAL MYCOTECA as a teaching tool, contributed to the learning about the Fungi Kingdom. It was evidenced, according to the students, that the classes were interesting and comprehensive. The results indicated that the use of appropriate educational software, can contribute with the teaching of mycology at the high school level.Item Desenvolvimento sustentável e jardim sensorial por meio da aprendizagem baseada em projetos - ABP(2023-02-08) Silva, Jander Ramires Rodrigues; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Cabral, Cinara Calvi Anic; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1702387634067240; Lopes, Iarima Naama Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5535787963110897Sustainable Development (SD) is based on three pillars: Environmental, Economic and Social. Nowadays, with technological advances and innovative production processes, how are students learning this concept? For this research, a Sensory Garden (JS) already implemented at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas, Campus Manaus Centro, was used for students of the 1st year of High School in the class of the Technical Course in Chemistry, where it established the following problem question: “How to develop activities for teaching Sustainable Development from a Sensory Garden?”. The general objective was to investigate the contributions of a JS to the understanding of Sustainable Development and its Objectives, to students of the 1st year of high school. And as specific objectives, to propose Project-Based Learning (PBL) as a teaching methodology to approach SD based on the UN's 2030 Agenda, through the JS. And in addition, verify the potential of using JS as a didactic resource and non-formal teaching space, for the promotion of DS and its Objectives. The research approach was qualitative and the teaching method adopted was based on PBL. The insertion of the theme was aligned with the National Common Curricular Base, in the context of competences and abilities to be developed by the students, as well as the Transversal Contemporary Themes. The ABP project was developed in the form of a workshop lasting three hours (3h) presenting the JS as a non-formal teaching space, in order to promote students' awareness of environmental issues. After the methodological process, it was observed that the students were able to relate the SD to the JS, through observation and analysis of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are part of the 2030 Agenda, presenting characteristics of the concepts addressed during the Workshop “Looking for Sustainable Development. And in the socialization of the artifacts elaborated by the groups, it was clear that the students were able to answer the driving question worked on in the structure of the PBL Workshop in Table 2.Item Educação ambiental e saúde baseada em ABP(2021-11-05) Lopes, Iarima Naama Ferreira; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; Paes, Lucilene da Silva; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; Paes, Lucilene da Silva; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; c, João dos Santos; Anjos, Maeda Batista dosThe purpose of this product is to serve as a guide for the implementation and didactic use of a Sensory Garden (JS), demonstrating how its elements can be used to achieve meaningful learning through investigation, creativity, sharing and contextualization of new knowledge. The presented proposals are guided by assumptions of Project-Based Learning and can help teachers and students to achieve a transformative and reflective Environmental Education, thus, we include in this material suggestions for activities and educational itineraries that can be carried out both in the sensory garden and in other environments teaching, and that relate the contents of Biology and Health, Agroecology, Chemistry and related areas. The material discusses relevant issues such as the importance of flexibility of activities suited to the teaching context, the enhancement of individuality and the construction process (not only the results), the contributions of group work, the importance of the teacher/teacher as a mediator of the process and the possibility of exploring new ways of working Environmental Education.Item Ensinando microbiologia na Amazônia: guia didático para professores e alunos(2020-12-05) Souza, Afonso Santos de; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martínez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Cabral Neto, João dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9340150562756599; Freitas, Adriana Dantas Gonzaga de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3694117633635449; http://repositorio.ifam.edu.br/jspui/handle/4321/562This product is intended to assist biology teachers in addressing the general and contextualized microbiology theme in the Amazon. Despite advances in knowledge about the microbial diversity of the Amazon, few teaching resources or content are available for its direct application in the classroom in basic education. The fundamentals and resources presented in this guide can help instigate students at this level of education by using examples from our region to mediate learning in microbiology, assuming that contextualization can facilitate the construction of new knowledge based on those who already accompany them experience.Item Fungos da Amazônia(2024-03-14) Travassos, Ana Graziela Gomes; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez deItem Uma proposta de ensino-aprendizagem para produção de textos de divulgação científica em cursos de licenciatura(2023-02-24) Lopes, Jonatas Brasil; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Mendonça, Andréa Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0938462047218130; Gonçalves, Carolina BrandãoThe recent waves of Covid-19 accompanied by a veritable avalanche of fake news about the disease, the virus, and vaccines, have increased the concern about bringing the common citizen closer to scientific thinking. Much has been debated about the dissemination of new scientific knowledge and the distance between science and society in general. Considering the existence of few materials of Scientific Dissemination (SD) in the Amazonian context, there is a need for actions that promote the teaching of SD starting in undergraduate courses. This research was concerned with helping future teachers to produce Scientific Dissemination Texts (SDT) strengthening the access to scientific topics with accessible language. Therefore, a case study was carried out, with the main objective of evaluating a teaching-learning proposal for the construction of SDT. This was implemented through a workshop called "Building SDT", with the use of planned learning scripts based on Constructive Alignment in order to stimulate autonomous study. The content was based on the parameters of analysis and construction of the SDT and the form of evaluation was done by means of rubrics developed for this purpose. The subjects of this investigation were students of the Degree Course in Biological Sciences of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas (IFAM - Campus Manaus Centro). In the proposal, it was sought to develop some skills that the disseminator of scientific knowledge should appropriate with regard to the design and structure of this type of text. As results, through various instruments of data collection, were pointed out: gaps in the understanding of the students about the composition and organization of a SDT, as well as the elements and the search for the scientific article; the aid of initial resources in the composition of a text directing the planning of writing; the expansion and improvement of the perception of the composition and structure of a SDT through access to the parameters and rubrics provided by the application of the workshop; the suggestion of inclusion of the teaching-learning proposal in teacher training in undergraduate courses. After the evaluation and the necessary adjustments, an Educational Product named "Introductory Course for the construction of a Scientific Dissemination Text: a didactic guide for teachers" was organized, containing guidelines for: (a) knowing the theoretical basis that guided the teaching-learning proposal (b) helping in the planning and implementation of the proposal (c) building a SDT following the steps of the proposal.Item Proposta de um jardim sensorial para educação ambiental e promoção da saúde no ensino médio(2021-11-05) Lopes, Iarima Naama Ferreira; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Cabral Neto, João dos Santos; Anjos, Maeda Batista dosThe teaching and learning processes should generate great stimulus and performance to students and every day this process is being renewed from the use of new theories, methodologies and resources in the classroom. For Biology Teaching, focusing on the Botany content, for example, teachers seek to use non-formal spaces and other practical activities to avoid a fragmentation between theory and the reality of their students. However, a distancing between human beings and nature is increasingly evident, and an intervention that contributes to a rapprochement that brings mutual benefits is necessary. In this perspective, this dissertation aimed to develop a teaching guide for the construction and use of a Sensory Garden as an alternative to Environmental Education (EE), based on Meaningful Learning and Project-Based Learning. During the discussion, we address issues related to the basic concepts of environmental education, as well as the historical path that has been traced for Environmental Education to be inserted and discussed in education. The development of the research occurred in two distinct stages, the first step consisted of the application of a diagnostic questionnaire conducted online through the Google Forms platform with students from the 1st year of high school at the Federal Institute of Amazonas (IFAM), and the second step consisted of evaluating the proposal inserted into the educational product through the Delphi method, with application of questionnaires and sending feedback from previous rounds online. The Delphi rounds were directed to a group of reviewers from different educational institutions, in addition to undergraduate students in Biological Sciences. For the analysis of the results in both stages, a qualitative analysis was adopted. In general, the results obtained in the first stage provided us with important indications that the students of Basic Education present in their cognitive structure, basic concepts of EE observed through the discursive answers of the diagnostic survey, and that, as mentioned by them, there is a preference in practical activities when working on issues related to the theme. Regarding the Delphi method, the results reinforced the need to approach Environmental Education through methodologies that involve and make the student the protagonist of his own knowledge, in addition to the importance of discussing the conceptions of EE as a tool to raise awareness for a transformative EE. According to the evaluation of the referees, the proposed Project in ABP and other elements inserted in the product proved to be valid and appropriate for the approach of environmental issues.Item Uso de blog para o ensino de micologia da Amazônia(2019-06-19) Travassos, Ana Graziela Gomes; Paes, Lucilene da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0653747630550456; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Lucena, Juliana Mesquita Vidal Martinez de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056348459580471; Paes, Lucilene da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0653747630550456; Oliveira, Adriano Teixeira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9164471794674935; Pessoa, Felipe Barbosa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8572743005439397The teaching of microbiology contents in basic education, including the fungus thematic, can get more attention from students if developed in a contextualized way. The knowledge about Amazonian fungi has been little discussed in the school environment, and is not represented in textbooks. This work proposes the creation of a blog as didactic resource for the teaching of mycology with contents produced by the researches carried out in the Amazon. For that, a literature survey was conducted on the use of virtual resources and blogs in teaching, as well as the content used to create the Amazon Fungus blog. In this report, the relevance of the mycology contents of the Amazon in the formation of the individual is discussed. The final product was developed from a Google tool called Blogger, where Blogger (person responsible for editing) can remotely access and edit your content whenever you want, as well as interact with your users through the comments window. The Fungi of the Amazon blog is available online by bringing together various references of monographs, dissertations, theses and scientific articles in Portuguese and free access to fungi. They are the results of scientific research carried out in the Amazon scenary or with samples collected in the region. It is hoped that it will contribute to advancing the diffusion of knowledge about these living beings, gaining students' attention to this area of study, and, indirectly, helping to conserve biodiversity.
