Leptospirosis in Brazil is considered an endemic disease, however in rainy periods it becomes epidemic. In this context, the Amazon region being an area with high rainfall rates at certain times of the year, has an increased incidence of leptospirosis, which directly impacts public health. The objective of this work is to analyze the case series of leptospirosis in humans in the municipality of Manaus-AM, in the period from 2010 to 2019, tracing the epidemiological profile of this disease. For this retrospective study, information was obtained through the database of the Notifiable Diseases Information System - SINAN, made available by the Amazonas Health Surveillance Foundation - FVS/AM. A total of 1,259 reported cases of leptospirosis were identified between 2010 and 2019, with 460 confirmed cases. The South and North regions of Manaus stood out in relation to the number of cases, and there was a higher prevalence in urban areas. Most cases were autoctope, with a mean age of 33.36 years, most of them males. As a confirmation criterion in the diagnosis, the laboratory clinician was prevalent and there were 394 cases of cure of the disease. Depending on the information obtained, it is emphasized that there is a need for more effective measures in epidemiological surveillance, such as improving access to information for those most in need and improving public policies to ensure that people enjoy an ideal quality of life and with equality.
