In today's globalized scenario, pursuing excellence in maintenance management is crucial for companies to maintain their competitiveness in the international market. With the advent of Industry 4.0, the concept of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) emerges, focusing on waste elimination and continuous improvement in efficiency through technical and managerial pillars. In this context, Maintenance Planning and Control (PCM) plays a crucial role in developing plans and policies to ensure the effectiveness of maintenance processes. This article underscores the importance of PCM as an essential facilitator to achieve and maintain the excellence standards required by WCM through the implementation project of the Professional Maintenance Pillar in a white goods industry located in the industrial hub of Manaus, Brazil. As a result of restructuring efforts, including the establishment of indicators, improved data control, and enhanced service efficiency, there was a significant reduction in lost products from 39,903 units in 2020 to 20,962 units in 2021, along with a decrease in equipment downtime from 1.63% to 0.73%.

In the public sphere, the institutions aim to develop activities according to society's needs and interests. Therefore, to attend to population demands, management programs need to obtain actions that generate satisfactory and efficient results. In front of this scenario, project management proposals emerge as support tools for organizations to achieve their goals effectively. Energy sustainability is a global challenge. Since its consumption impacts natural resources in the present and future. Thus, the use of these resources must be carefully evaluated, to avoid waste and depletion. The use of these resources must be carefully evaluated, to avoid waste and depletion. In Brazil, the use of electricity represents one of the main costs of public buildings. The Federal Government has been adopting a set of actions and initiatives to make this consumption more conscious through energy management in all Public Administration bodies. Among the practices that stand out the most, sustainable generation is seen as a pillar. Especially those that contemplate the preservation of natural resources, whether avoiding the use of fossil fuels, through the amplification of renewable sources or reviewing consumption patterns through energy efficiency. Hence, the search for sustainable, innovative, and energy-efficient actions is essential for Public Administration, so the use of solar energy has a great benefit for being a clean and renewable energy source, and therefore it becomes a great option. This work aims to make a bibliographic survey of the main topics addressed on the use of project management in the introduction of renewable energy in public agencies.
