The internationalization of markets and intricate supply chains has exposed the fragility of the pharmaceutical sector, a crucial area highly dependent on cutting-edge foreign arts and machinery. Factors such as geopolitical instability and logistical fluctuations underscore the urgency for industries to seek greater technological sovereignty and production autonomy. In this scenario, the localization of critical components, aligned with the concepts of Manufacturing and Local Sourcing, emerges as a robust strategy to mitigate operational risks, reduce the carbon footprint, and optimize cash flow. Based on these premises, this work aims to develop and validate, through reverse engineering, a domestically produced component equivalent to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Slow Gate, which is responsible for stabilizing the flow of tablets. The study encompasses precision modeling, the selection of materials compliant with regulatory standards, the qualification of local suppliers, and the execution of validation tests, establishing a benchmark of production independence for the pharmaceutical industry.
