The present work justifies itself once it takes in to consideration an important matter in the reality of many enterprises. Nowadays, the compressed air system has become one of the many tools for manufacturing, being applicated in several areas and stages of the manufacturing process, due to its great capacity of diversification. On this job, we intend to approach the characteristcs, stages and main components in order to obtain an outstanding result from the air compressed system performance. A good planning during the installation dimensioning stage will bring positive result for the company as a whole. On this project we have focused on the main line of the air compressed system dimensioning, placing the machines according to the layout proposed by the board of directors of a small company. All the researches from this work were based on bibliography research, articles and so on and forth and also through field observation and data collect in the referred company. It allowed us to conclude through the dimensioning, the best diameter for the company ducts, without losing its performance and providing a higher working life of the pneumatic equipments.
