Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Otimização na preparação metalográfica de controle de qualidade em um processo de cementação para redução de tempo de preparo(2025-04-30) Mineiro Filho, José Feitoza; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467; Lima, Jonatas Micael Vieira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4866950717399057This work aims to optimize the metallographic preparation of quality control in a cementation process, focusing on reducing preparation time. Cementation is a widely used thermochemical treatment in the metallurgical industry, particularly for components that require high wear resistance, such as shafts and gears. Although essential, this process is complex and can become a bottleneck in production due to the numerous steps involved before final approval for the grinding process. The research is based on a quantitative analysis, where data on the Lead Time of the cementation process were collected. The results indicated that the preparation time is excessive, directly impacting the operational efficiency of the company. Identifying the steps that contribute most to this delay was crucial for developing optimization strategies. To address this issue, continuous improvement methodologies, particularly Kaizen, were implemented, focusing on waste elimination and promoting incremental improvements. The application of Kaizen in the cementation process allowed for a critical analysis of the involved steps, enabling the identification of improvement points that could be implemented to reduce preparation time without compromising the final product's quality. Additionally, the work includes a literature review that contextualizes the importance of cementation and metallographic preparation, discussing best practices and innovations in the field. The review also emphasizes the need for rigorous control during sample preparation, as the quality of metallographic analysis is fundamental to ensuring that components meet market standards. The results demonstrated that through the optimization of cementation process steps and the implementation of continuous improvement practices, it was possible to significantly reduce preparation time. This reduction not only increased production efficiency but also improved customer satisfaction, as they began to receive high-quality products within shorter timeframes. In conclusion, this work contributes to the machining field by presenting practical solutions that can be applied in industrial environments, promoting continuous improvement and competitiveness in the market. The findings highlight the importance of adequate planning and the adoption of continuous improvement methodologies to ensure efficiency and quality in machining and cementation processes.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Melhoria da qualidade aplicado a um processo de usinagem em uma fábrica do polo de duas rodas(2021-06-06) Araúijo, Lucas Lima de; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Pereira, Micila Sumaria Medeiros; Fernandes, Priscila SilvaIn recent years, machining technology has undergone profound changes, the main objective of which is to increase productivity and guarantee quality. This is achieved through the use of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to automate the process. The present work has the general objective of investigating proposals for the improvement of quality in a given integrated manufacturing process (machining). The survey was conducted at a company in the motorcycle production industry located in Manaus. The classification as to the means addresses, case study, bibliographic, documentary. The classification as to the ends consists of research, exploratory, descriptive, explanatory, qualitative, quantitative. The quality tools will be applied in order to regulate the frequencies of non-conformities, mitigating them from highest to lowest, making it possible to anticipate the causes and effects. To develop the solution proposal, the sector was widely observed, where a comparative analysis of the company's quality indicators was carried out with regard to the Machining sector during the 12-month period. the present analysis of causes was built from this tool, identifying non conformities that were found in the analysis of the current situation and I verified how these non-conformities found in the CNC machine and tools directly influenced the occurrence of the work problem. In the project, the fixation of the entire tooling set was taken into consideration to increase the radial rigidity and thus avoid unwanted vibrations. Increase tool life through efficient lubrication. N the cost of unusable parts, the goal of the headstock's production area was to be spent per month: R $ 25,000, were being spent / month before the improvement project, R $ 62,524.00 and after the project was implemented, expenses R $ 29,719.20, a reduction of R $ 35,804.80 in unused parts, in just 1 month, in addition to the other evidenced gains. In short, the application of the theory and concepts of authors in everyday organizational phenomena and the absorption of knowledge not only from theoretical content, but also through field analysis, to the company, the opportunity for improvement through accessible practices and low cost and provides real benefits to the organization.
