The product entitled “Visual Guide to Occupational Hygiene:
Essential Practices” is aimed at the public working in the area
of occupational health and focused on the Ássessment of
Occupational Exposure to Noise. The aim of the product is to
highlight the importance of the procedures used to assess
noise in the workplace. Prolonged and inadequate exposure to
noise can cause irreversible damage to hearing and other
health problems, negatively impacting workers' quality of life.
To this end, this guide has been drawn up which contains the
criteria and procedures for assessing occupational exposure
to noise in accordance with the Occupational Hygiene
Standard - NHO 01 (Technical Procedure: assessment of
occupational exposure to noise).
