(2025-01-17) Alecrim Junior, Jackson Gervásio de; Frota, Vítor Bremgartner da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6100146230873494; Velozo, Hugo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8351107136518878; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5998752909180697
The work proposes the development of a suspended subway system for Manaus, inspired by the elevated subway of Wuppertal, Germany, recognized for its operational efficiency and intelligent adaptation to the urban environment. The proposal seeks to address challenges related to urban mobility and sustainability, considering factors such as population growth, increased traffic and geographical and hydrological characteristics. The implementation of this system could reduce congestion, optimize travel and minimize environmental impacts by using a high structure that avoids interference in ground traffic. To demonstrate the technical feasibility of the project, a small-scale prototype was developed using an ESP32 microcontroller for remote control via Bluetooth. This model allows to simulate the operation of a suspended transport system, evaluating aspects such as performance, stability and displacement control. The study highlights the importance of modernizing urban infrastructure, promoting a more efficient, safe and sustainable means of public transport. The project not only suggests an innovative solution for mobility in Manaus, but may also serve as a basis for future studies and broaden the debate on viable alternatives for public transport. According to the tests and simulations carried out, this model can serve as a reference for the implementation of a real system, bringing economic, social and environmental benefits to the city

This work aims to present the results of a study that sought to conduct a Didactic Sequence methodologically grounded in Project-Based Learning, using some practical-experimental tools, to investigate the propagation of electromagnetic waves with an emphasis on X-rays. This process allows for adaptations to in-person, hybrid, or remote teaching models. The study of electromagnetic waves is conventionally taught in high school, with an emphasis on the visible light spectrum. In contrast, our proposal presents a problem-based situation, focused on X-rays and their application in radiology, aiming to stimulate students to embark on an investigative journey with the purpose of proposing a solution to the presented situation. To assist and complement the theoretical research, practical-experimental tools are chosen, including remotely controlled experimental setups, a three-dimensional Android simulator, and a virtual reality simulator, which are developed throughout this work and methodologically structured and integrated into the phases of Project-Based Learning (PBL), adapted into introduction, initial research, artifact construction, second research phase, presentation, and publication. The results pertaining to these artifacts demonstrate that they are statistically valid for the collection of reliable experimental data and compatible with a wide range of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) synchronously or asynchronously, with the potential to complement each other or even expand the possibilities of implementing at least one of them in different classroom contexts. Simultaneously, the results of implementing the Educational Product provide evidence, through quantitative and qualitative studies, of the effectiveness of the proposal in two 3rd-year high school Physics classes, as well as discussions about its limitations and benefits. As a result of this work, it was possible to materialize and make available to society the Educational Product titled "Navigating Electromagnetic Waves: A Project-Based Learning Didactic Sequence for the Study of X-ray Propagation," which is versatile in terms of implementation, both in terms of content and the format of in-person or remote classes.

(2025-01-10) Ribeiro, Marcus Paulo Serrão; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5998752909180697; Frota, Vítor Bremgartner da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6100146230873494; Rodrigues, Marlos André Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0650250324042531
The growing demand for data traffic in mobile networks has posed significant performance challenges, especially when users access content hosted on international servers. In this context, 5G technology emerges as an advanced solution capable of increasing efficiency, reducing latency, and optimizing resource utilization. This work aims to analyze how 5G addresses the issue of slow performance in high-traffic situations by leveraging features such as Network Slicing, edge computing, Massive MIMO, and spectrum aggregation. These features enable the creation of dedicated virtual networks, data processing closer to the enduser, and greater bandwidth, even in overload scenarios. The research will be based on simulations and case studies, comparing 5G's performance with previous generations, such as 4G, in terms of latency, capacity, and spectral efficiency. Furthermore, the study will discuss the impacts of this technology in high-density environments and the regulatory challenges associated with spectrum usage. The expected results include a significant improvement in the quality of service, even in high-demand areas, demonstrating the potential of 5G to transform user experience and global telecommunications infrastructure.

Navegando nas ondas eletromagnéticas: uma sequência didática de ABP voltada ao estudo da propagação dos raios X
(2023-12-18) Silva, Izac Martins da; Frota, Vítor Bremgartner da; Cavalcante, Marisa Almeida
The Didactic Sequence, NAVIGATING ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES, is a differentiated proposal focused on the pedagogical approach of Project-Based Learning. In this way, the student will be the protagonist of the process, which is presented by a businessman from the city of Manaus. After building his business, he learned that he is a neighbor to a radiology clinic and needs to find out if this could represent any type of risk for those who will remain on his premises. With that said, students are responsible for conducting research, presenting arguments, building an artifact, and presenting their results to the requester. To do this, an online environment that centralizes various technological tools, both pedagogical and digital, is made available for the proposal's implementation and the teacher's monitoring. The teacher plays a facilitating role in the learning process, observing and guiding students throughout. Among the topics covered, we have the study of electromagnetic waves, an introduction to radiology, and medical physics using the perspective of X-ray waves. This work is recommended for third-year high school Physics students. However, it can also be used in radiology technical and technological courses.

The transformations that affect man throughout his history show his cognitive development through the construction of artifacts. Realizing man's dominance over the elements of nature and the gradual improvement of these processes, shows how much construction techniques impact technologies, and consequently, affect man. In this intrinsic relationship between man and nature, personal and social development can be seen. However, this development does not occur homogeneously and generates plural societies with discrepancies in technological knowledge. This scenario, defined by irregular technological progress, commands for urgent solutions based on educational processes, in order to propose cognitive and social development obeying the dynamism of technological aspects. Harari (2018) said that man does not understand digital technologies in their entirety, hence the question: How to appropriate these technological resources? Based on the maker mentality, in the vision of Seymour Papert and Dale Dougherty, seeks to rescue the builder man, and thus, activate primitive instincts driven by curiosity and creativity. Maker Culture promotes teaching in a fun, challenging and enjoyable way. As a teaching resource, Educational Robotics is used, which offers creative and differentiated activities encouraging innovation. The construction of robotic projects is a strategy that allows the inclusion of the Programming Language and the pillars of Computational Thinking, from the perspective of Jeannette Wing and Christian Brackmann. In this way, different aspects are developed in parallel in the cognitive, social, psychomotor, affective fields and, mainly, the development of skills and competencies specific to Computational Thinking. Therefore, this research follows the guidelines provided by the BNCC and the PCN for High School, the target audience to be reached, with a view to achieving an emancipatory and necessary education in the current technological society. As a product resulting from this practice, a robotic kit was developed, which presents the creation of its parts adaptable to different materials and seeks to reach a diverse audience. The teaching guide was created based on the thoughts of Zabala (2014), which helps learning by reformulating its contents – Conceptual, Procedural and Attitudinal – which are in line with what is proposed by the Educational Robotics and Maker Culture approaches.
