Through a quantitative approach, this study sought to understand the statistical and financial impact of the evaluation object, with the intention of identifying the behavior of a public institution regarding related activities. The objective was to analyze the maintenance services in the university's buildings during the study period (2020-2024), emphasizing classifications by status, category, and environment, as well as monthly measurements. A consultation of open requests by applicants and those effectively paid through the GLPI and SEI systems was conducted. In the first case, 11,955 requests were processed, while in the second, the distribution of R$21,551,414.34 was studied over the five-year period (2020-2024). The research evidenced, in the observed context, a continuous increase in demands for preventive and corrective maintenance orders, reaffirming the importance of strategic planning that integrates preventive maintenance routines, more efficient contractual management, and budget predictability, serving as a source for future decision-making and public and institutional dimensioning.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Estudo da aderência do bambu ao concreto(2025-01-27) Sasahara, Antonio Toshiharu; Maruoka, Luz Marina Andrade; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9195629803452948; Maruoka, Luz Marina Andrade; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9195629803452948; Barros, Laerte Melo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0299419739606476; Fernandes, Francisco José Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3166612623704256The raw materials used by the construction sector cause environmental impacts, among which steel stands out with the greatest impact on greenhouse gas emissions during its production. Thus, seeking alternatives to replace steel is of paramount importance to mitigate carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Bamboo, being a renewable material, abundant in nature, and with a high rate of growth and propagation, presents itself as an excellent option, including for CO2 capture from the atmosphere. However, its greatest challenge is its adhesion to cement and its preservation against insect and fungus attacks. This research aims to evaluate the adhesion resistance between cement mortar and bamboo treated with borax using the hot water and cold water method. For this, species collection, treatment, drying, and adhesion tensile strength tests of bamboo to concrete were carried out. The treatment did not show bamboo decay within the concrete after 28 days immersed in water during the concrete curing process, and the pull-out resistance of the splints from the concrete showed results that enable its use with concrete, with average values for bamboo adhesion stress of 1.72 MPa, with the proposed preservative treatment.Artigo de Periódico Geração dos resíduos de construção e demolição (RCD): causas e alternativas para a reciclagem no município de Manaus-AM(2025-04-13) Mar, Brenda de Carvalho; Feitoza, José CostaThe construction sector generates a large amount of construction and demolition waste (CDW), and its disposal remains a challenge for many companies. This study aims to identify the main causes of CDW generation and propose alternatives for recycling and reuse of these wastes in Manaus-AM. The research was conducted at a public agency responsible for housing, analyzing two construction projects over the last two years. Data was collected on waste separation, storage, and transportation, totaling 268,200.07m³ of CDW. A comparison with CONAMA Resolution No. 307/2002 revealed the need for improvements in waste management and disposal practices. The results indicate that, despite progress, there are still gaps in complying with environmental legislation.Artigo de Periódico Inteligência Artificial na construção civil: benefícios, desafios e a importância do profissional na tomada de decisão(2025-03-03) Barboza, Tereza Nazaré Ulloa; Aguiar, Cristiane Pereira deThe research explores the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on decision-making in the construction industry, particularly in the use of programs for the preparation of architectural projects. Although AI offers several opportunities for resource optimization, scenario simulation, and process automation, it also presents challenges, such as the dependence on automated systems that can compromise the quality of technical work. The study seeks to investigate the potential benefits and risks associated with the implementation of AI in the sector, with a focus on the creation and management of architectural projects. The methodology adopted involved bibliographic research based on academic articles, books, and recent case studies, with a thematic analysis: identifying the programs that are classified as AI and how they affect today's civil engineering scenario, their challenges, and benefits. The results indicate that, although AI can improve efficiency and reduce costs, its application without technical supervision can generate misinterpretation and legal problems, especially when users do not have specialized training. The research concludes that, in order to maximize the benefits of AI, it is essential that construction professionals continue to act critically, supervising technological tools and ensuring that projects comply with local standards and requirements. Therefore, AI should be seen as a complementary tool, and not as a substitute for the technical knowledge of professionals in the sector.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Processo de regularização e habite-se de imóvel unifamiliar – um estudo de caso realizado no bairro Cidade Nova I, em Manaus/AM(2025-01-28) Nobre, Jaritsa Maria da Costa; Aguiar, Cristiane Pereira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8948885803989120; Aguiar, Cristiane Pereira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8948885803989120; Fernandes, Francisco José Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3166612623704256; Lucena, Ana Maria Dias da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3426441277160847This paper aims to describe the process of regularizing and obtaining a occupancy permit for a single-family social housing property located in the Cidade Nova I neighborhood in the city of Manaus, Amazonas. Urban expansion requires strict control by public organizations, making regularization and issuance of a occupancy permit essential for the proper occupation of spaces and the correct execution of works and engineering services. The Cidade Nova neighborhood, located in the northern part of Manaus, was planned in the 1980s during the government of Professor José Bernardino Lindoso, initially to house 15,000 low-income housing units. However, only 1,800 homes were completed in the first phase, inaugurated on April 23, 1981. Since then, the neighborhood has expanded to include stages I, II, III, IV, and V, becoming the most populous in Manaus. The regularization of properties in Cidade Nova is an ongoing and detailed process that involves the presentation of documents, architectural projects, and obtaining certificates. The Municipal Institute of Urban Planning of Manaus (IMPLURB) considers regularization and occupancy permits essential for issuing the Certificate of Regularization and Occupancy Permit for buildings completed without prior approval and licensing of the architectural project. This study describes the case study of a single-family property that underwent this process, completed in approximately four months, resulting in a 20% increase in value after the issuance of the occupancy permit. During the execution of this work, the stages and challenges faced in the regularization and occupancy permit process were analyzed, with emphasis on the conformity of the building volume with current standards and the absence of frontal setback from the land, as required by Law No. 1.838/2014. The proposed alternatives were also evaluated, such as the applicant's handwritten justification due to socioeconomic limitations, and the CMDU's opinion that verified the possibility of regularizing the property. The results showed that, in addition to legalizing the occupation and use of the space, regularization provides greater security and peace of mind to the owners. The success in obtaining the occupancy permit represents habitability under current legislation and reflects the commitment to sustainable and orderly urban development in the city of Manaus. For future work, we suggest implementing realtime sharing systems between the sectors responsible for analyzing the regularization process, providing guides and teaching manuals, and creating free or low-cost technical and legal assistance programs.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Uso de ferramenta computacional para planejamento de obras: um estudo de caso comparativo(2025-01-27) Costa, Wellida Freitas; Santos, Luiz Eduardo Mateus dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5752567774043165; Taveira, Alberto Fábio da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9514824896688750; Taveira, Alberto Fábio da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9514824896688750; Santos, Luiz Eduardo Mateus dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5752567774043165; Aguiar, Cristiane Pereira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8948885803989120; Fernandes, Francisco José Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3166612623704256In the current context of the construction industry, the use of tools for planning and controlling works is essential, as this way processes are optimized, become more efficient and costs are reduced. Based on this context, the aim of this research is to demonstrate the importance of using resources such as online platforms and software to carry out planning, by comparing the execution of two vertical construction projects, where one uses a computer control system and the other does not. The main indicators of a project were observed, such as execution according to plans, deadlines, costs, productivity and the quality obtained at the end of the work. The conclusion is that when software is used strategically and correctly, making sure that the information collected and entered into the system is true, problems and possible solutions can be mapped out to achieve the following result: a project with profitable management and execution, compliance with the schedule and budget, and a reduction in errors that would lead to poor quality and non-compliance with sustainability on the construction site, such as waste of materials.
