Based on this context, the aim of this research is to demonstrate the importance of using resources such as online platforms and software to carry out planning, by comparing the execution of two vertical construction projects, where one uses a computer control system and the other does not. The main indicators of a project were observed, such as execution according to plans, deadlines, costs, productivity and the quality obtained at the end of the work. The conclusion is that when software is used strategically and correctly, making sure that the information collected and entered into the system is true, problems and possible solutions can be mapped out to achieve the following result: a project with profitable management and execution, compliance with the schedule and budget, and a reduction in errors that would lead to poor quality and non-compliance with sustainability on the construction site, such as waste of materials.Artigo de Periódico Inteligência Artificial na construção civil: benefícios, desafios e a importância do profissional na tomada de decisão(2025-03-03) Barboza, Tereza Nazaré Ulloa; Aguiar, Cristiane Pereira deThe research explores the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on decision-making in the construction industry, particularly in the use of programs for the preparation of architectural projects. Although AI offers several opportunities for resource optimization, scenario simulation, and process automation, it also presents challenges, such as the dependence on automated systems that can compromise the quality of technical work. The study seeks to investigate the potential benefits and risks associated with the implementation of AI in the sector, with a focus on the creation and management of architectural projects. The methodology adopted involved bibliographic research based on academic articles, books, and recent case studies, with a thematic analysis: identifying the programs that are classified as AI and how they affect today's civil engineering scenario, their challenges, and benefits. The results indicate that, although AI can improve efficiency and reduce costs, its application without technical supervision can generate misinterpretation and legal problems, especially when users do not have specialized training. The research concludes that, in order to maximize the benefits of AI, it is essential that construction professionals continue to act critically, supervising technological tools and ensuring that projects comply with local standards and requirements. Therefore, AI should be seen as a complementary tool, and not as a substitute for the technical knowledge of professionals in the sector.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Análise dos serviços de manutenção nas edificações da Universidade Federal do Amazonas: identificação de manifestações patológicas e análise dos impactos financeiros na UFAM durante o período de 2020 a 2024(2025-01-28) Trindade, Adriano Vitor Gonçalves; Vieira, Paulo Cezar Corrêa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9365262483938738; Vieira, Paulo Cezar Corrêa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9365262483938738; Takeno, Litiko Lopes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7119868373955176; Santos, Luiz Eduardo Mateus dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5752567774043165This research consists of an evaluation of open maintenance requests and those processed for payment at the Federal University of Amazonas from 2020 to 2024. Through a quantitative approach, this study sought to understand the statistical and financial impact of the evaluation object, with the intention of identifying the behavior of a public institution regarding related activities. The objective was to analyze the maintenance services in the university's buildings during the study period (2020-2024), emphasizing classifications by status, category, and environment, as well as monthly measurements. A consultation of open requests by applicants and those effectively paid through the GLPI and SEI systems was conducted. In the first case, 11,955 requests were processed, while in the second, the distribution of R$21,551,414.34 was studied over the five-year period (2020-2024). The research evidenced, in the observed context, a continuous increase in demands for preventive and corrective maintenance orders, reaffirming the importance of strategic planning that integrates preventive maintenance routines, more efficient contractual management, and budget predictability, serving as a source for future decision-making and public and institutional dimensioning.
