Science education in elementary school, especially regarding Invertebrate Zoology, still faces challenges related to the use of conventional resources based solely on lectures. In this context, the present study aimed to analyze the thought processes developed by elementary school students through an educational game with content on Invertebrate Zoology. This qualitative research was grounded in and discussed within the teaching and learning concepts of Anastasiou (2015) and Kishimoto (2017). It was conducted during a supervised curricular internship at a private school in Manaus, Amazonas, with 8th-grade classes. The stages involved participant observation; the development and application of the game; and finally, an analysis of the students' perceptions and performance. The game aimed to promote the understanding of zoology content in a playful, participatory, and contextualized way. The results showed that the use of the game fostered student engagement, sparking interest and curiosity about the topic, as well as mobilizing various thought processes such as comparison, classification, interpretation, and decision-making. The activity proved effective in stimulating logical reasoning and meaningful learning, promoting an environment of cooperation and interaction. It is concluded that the game "Who are you? Invertebrates" constitutes a didactic resource that enhances science teaching in a playful, critical, and interactive way for students, representing a viable alternative to overcome the limitations of traditional teaching.

The present work reports a research carried out in two public schools of the city of Manaus, with the purpose of using alternative didactic resources in the teaching of Vertebrate Zoology. The applied didactic resources were a game called "Deck of the Vertebrates" and parodies elaborated by the own students. The research was developed with 7th grade students, in which we applied the didactic game, and the 3rd year of high school, in which we used the parodies, during science and biology classes. During the study, the following steps were followed: 1) observation of the classroom environment; 2) application of a diagnostic questionnaire; 3) use of alternative teaching resources; 4) application of a questionnaire to evaluate the results obtained with the use of resources. We found the possibility of working on an extensive subject, such as Vertebrate Zoology, in a different way attracting the attention of the student, even in schools that do not have resources, nor a good structure.

Once the Insecta class have a worldwide distribution and holds the higher species diversity of all animal kingdom and condering the strong role of media as a people influencer, this study adopt as a goal to use popular animations as a media didatic tool to the teach of diversity, aiming the difusion of knowledges about the Insecta class. The didatic sequence used to reach this goal was composed by 5 moments and was relized in two Highschool classes of a public school in Manaus, Amazonas. The use of medias to the teach of diversity was really satisfied once it provided to the students a increase of learning level and we could to see that the insects and the diversity of species need to be better worked in all the levels of school.
