Item A importância da utilização da rede SDH em substituição da PDH na transmissão óptica: estudo de casa em uma empresa de telecomunicação OI.(2020-02-11) Moura, Richardson Souza de; Souza, José Geraldo de Pontes e; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3583358046117558; Souza, José Geraldo de Pontes e; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3583358046117558; Silva, Nivaldo Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9653122662843005; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467This study arose from the need for the perception that the telecommunications company OI had to meet the high demand of subscribers who called the company after the fixed telephone service interruption that happened when the fiber optic broke, causing performance decrease in the indicator. the company's unemployment and thus the need for a study and project to solve the problem indicated by the subscribers. This study took place in the northern zone of Manaus, where the replacement of PDH modems by SDH interconnected with ring topology was performed, allowing greater gain in service protection and equipment stability in the fixed telephone service in the study area. SDH is a unified, high-speed digital transmission system that provides greater capacity and efficiency in network management, as well as a considerable price reduction. The multiplexing process, because it is more flexible, makes this step much simpler than PDH, which requires equipment symmetry at all points of the network. An SDH signal can be inserted at a higher rate without going through intermediate stages (BERNAL FILHO, 2009). The paper described the advantages and disadvantages of using data transmission via SDH for enterprise. The methods employed were bibliographic and field research, with replacement of data via PDH by SDH. After replacement, the availability of services was improved, especially due to the remote management obtained. It was concluded that the ring configuration proved to be very efficient in this region due mainly to the infrastructure problems brought by the growth of this region.Item Rede Smart Grid: tecnologias de comunicação(2023-02-03) Prada, Jadson Augusto Simões; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Souza, José Geraldo de Pontes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3583358046117558; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467Among several discoveries and progress already achieved by science, electricity was one of the most impressive, and today, its presence is a decisive factor for the industrial, economic and social advancement of any region. In this sense, the concept of Smart Grid is highlighted as an intelligent network that can improve the efficiency of the system in general, considering the importance of energy management. However, for Smart Grids to be effectively reliable, it is necessary to integrate different types of equipment, communication technologies and data processing. And as a delimitation of this study, the communication networks that make up the Smart Grids are highlighted, as a topic of great importance in telecommunications systems. In this sense, the objective of this study is: To present the communication technologies that cover the Smart Grid network sector. To this end, a literature review was carried out based on publications in the area of Telecommunications, Energy and Technology, in libraries of higher education institutions and virtual libraries such as the Scientific Electronic Library Online - SciELO. It was verified that the communication system is the key element of the Smart Grid infrastructure, since all initiatives in Smart Electric Grids pass through a communication infrastructure. Therefore, an intelligent electrical system switches the entire supply of energy through the distribution network, managing the need for energy through a communication system. The technologies studied in this study were: Wi-Fi, SigFox, LoraWAN, ZigBee, WiSUN and GPRS, which are technologies that operate from data collection to the calculation of monitored electrical quantities. Thus, the intelligence of the network resides in the ability of the devices to communicate, exchanging information that makes it possible to build a safer and more efficient network, based on a broad telecommunications support.Item Redes de comunicação sem fio: a proposta de sistema de teste para medir o alcance e a taxa de transferência de dados em dispositivos LI-FI(2023-03-09) Santos, Elton John Carvalho dos; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Souza, José Geraldo de Pontes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3583358046117558; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467On a global scale, we can see that society in general is increasingly connected, whether for the need for information, leisure, education, or work. There are applications that demand high or low transmission rate, large or small coverage, or the need for little maintenance, for difficult access places, for example. There is a range of widespread technologies that can cover these demands, and this study highlighted LoRa technology in the field of telecommunications. In this way, the general objective of this monograph is: To present the performance of LoRa technology in the field of telecommunications, detailing its characteristics, benefits and innovations in the area. To this end, a clear and concise literature review on the subject was carried out, based on findings in the literature. It was possible to demonstrate that LoRa devices revolutionized the internet of things, enabling data communication over a long range, using very little energy. When connected to a non-cellular LoRaWAN network, LoRa devices accommodate a wide range of IoT applications, transmitting packets of important information. LoRaWAN networks bridge the technology gap for cellular and Wi-Fi-based networks that command high bandwidth or high power, or have limited range or inability to penetrate deep indoor environments. It was verified that the LoRa technology allows the development of several projects in the sector in which the amount of data to be transmitted by the sensors at the final edges of the structure is not very large. Thus, in episodes where videos, heavy images and other information need to be transmitted to the Application Server, perhaps LoRa is not yet a solution. However, in situations where more succinct information (texts and measurements, among other data) is sent, LoRa networks can be implemented with good performance, as highlighted in this study in the case of intelligent management of the water network, connectivity in the field, detection of natural disasters and environmental monitoring as well as location of assets.Item Tecnologia wireless: rede local de acesso sem fio(2023-09-03) Vieira, Edvanderson Pereira; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Souza, José Geraldo de Pontes e; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3583358046117558; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467Wireless Local Area Network technology, known as WLAN, allows users to establish wireless connections in a local area.
