(2024-12-11) Souza, Aroldo Ribeiro de; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Cordeiro, Marcos Carneiros da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Lima, Micael Vieira de; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467
In Brazil, the digital open television signal provides the population with free access to high-quality audio and video. However, open TV faces challenges, particularly due to the rise of streaming services and cable TV, which offer on-demand content and interactivity. Although SmartTVs integrate internet functionality, their interactive experience depends on broadband connections and applications, limiting accessibility for some audiences. Additionally, simultaneous use of mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, often distracts viewers, reducing engagement with traditional programming. To address these challenges, 4G mochilink technology has emerged as a strategic solution, especially for communication professionals who require mobility and high-quality real-time transmission. This technology enables external live broadcasts in locations with limited internet infrastructure, particularly valuable in regions like Manaus, with geographical and network coverage challenges. This study proposes an analysis of video and audio signal quality transmitted via 4G mochilink in Manaus, assessing its effectiveness as a mobile transmission alternative for digital open TV. By utilizing mochilink, the aim is to expand open TV’s reach and provide greater accessibility in areas with limited internet infrastructure. The research seeks to provide technical data to optimize 4G mochilink use for live broadcasts, supporting the expansion of digital TV’s reach and quality.

5G wireless technology has been bringing a wide range of possibilities that only a high-speed network is capable of providing, a hundred times more than its 4G predecessor, in addition to the high quality of signal transmission, low connection latency, greater number of connected devices and a more stable connection that will make it possible to instantly access information that the user intends to download, access services and content on the most varied topics. Faced with this frenzy, the State of Amazonas is in the implementation phase of 5G technology, initially in the capital (Manaus) of Amazonas, where local operators have been adapting and adapting their services, but after all, within this context, we will address this research work , the benefits that technology has been bringing to our Amazonian reality. Remembering that there is great difficulty for the telecommunications area in an environment in which population clusters are in areas geographically far from the network management headquarters, where the main means of transport is the river and also the constant bad weather that plagues this huge world green. The methodology we will use will be a bibliographical and exploratory research, in order to discover the main benefits that the emerging technology will bring and how it will change the lives of our Amazonian population. The results obtained indicate that adherence and use of the network brings material contributions in the scenario of the city of Manaus, but that specific studies are necessary in the city, as the works collected point to the scenario of other cities or regions, based on this observation, in the city of Manaus may also show similar results.

(2023-12-13) Silva, André Tomé da; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Ribeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Teixeira Júnior, Paulo Ferreira
According to Marin (2009), structured cabling is a system that involves cables and connection hardware (according to standards), capable of meeting the telecommunications and IT needs of users of commercial buildings. Due to the need for an increasingly flexible, simplified and standardized system. In 1985, the EIA (Electronics Industries Alliance) and the TIA (Telecomunications Industry Association) formed a technical committee to develop a set of rules and standards for telecommunications cabling in commercial buildings. This work is about a case study of a structured cabling system already implemented in a retail company in the city of Manaus. The study was based on the standard ABNT 14565: 2019, in order to verify whether the system met the guidelines proposed in the standard. In order to make this work possible, the following methodology was addressed: bibliographical review of technical standards, field research and evaluation of researched information. In this context, after the on-site survey and with the information obtained, a diagram was developed with all the hardware located in the Equipment Room; the Telecommunication Sockets were identified, quantified and mapped in blueprints, as well as the functioning of each one was verified. Thus, it was concluded that there are some aspects in the structured cabling system that are not in accordance with the standard in question.

Wireless Local Area Network technology, known as WLAN, allows users to establish wireless connections in a local area. Its main characteristic is the cost-benefit advantage, as it is easy to install and has a lower cost. WLANs have the same functionality as LANs (wired networks), however, wireless networks eliminate the need for cables and other networking equipment. Among the devices used in wireless networks are desktop computers, portable computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs), pagers and cell phones, among others. These mobile devices allow a series of applications. With so much convenience and reduction in implantation costs.

As we can see with the gradual growth of Internet technology in urban centers, society in general is increasingly connected, whether for information, leisure, education, or work needs. The GPON networks have been standing out as an attractive option to have access to a variety of services in the world wide web. Within this context, it was observed that there is a great need to perform the validation of the operation of all requirements that compose the operation of the ONU device, especially with regard to the tests related to the speed of data transfer rate through the physical medium of optical fiber (BOSA). These tests should be able to guarantee the quality of service for high speed data transfer networks. The methodology applied in this research was based on a bibliographic review, carried out through research in scientific articles, electronic databases and specialized magazines in the area of telecommunications. After the search and selection of articles and literary documents, there was the tabulation of the information found means of Inclusion and Exclusion. Within this context, the development of a test system to validate the throughtput quality of service in optical fibers has a lot of relevance and helps in the better understanding of this phenomenon within a controlled environment (laboratory) that will allow a sunk study and better observation of the FTTH technology.

Rede Smart Grid: tecnologias de comunicação
(2023-02-03) Prada, Jadson Augusto Simões; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Souza, José Geraldo de Pontes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3583358046117558; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467
Among several discoveries and progress already achieved by science, electricity was one of the most impressive, and today, its presence is a decisive factor for the industrial, economic and social advancement of any region. In this sense, the concept of Smart Grid is highlighted as an intelligent network that can improve the efficiency of the system in general, considering the importance of energy management. However, for Smart Grids to be effectively reliable, it is necessary to integrate different types of equipment, communication technologies and data processing. And as a delimitation of this study, the communication networks that make up the Smart Grids are highlighted, as a topic of great importance in telecommunications systems. In this sense, the objective of this study is: To present the communication technologies that cover the Smart Grid network sector. To this end, a literature review was carried out based on publications in the area of Telecommunications, Energy and Technology, in libraries of higher education institutions and virtual libraries such as the Scientific Electronic Library Online - SciELO. It was verified that the communication system is the key element of the Smart Grid infrastructure, since all initiatives in Smart Electric Grids pass through a communication infrastructure. Therefore, an intelligent electrical system switches the entire supply of energy through the distribution network, managing the need for energy through a communication system. The technologies studied in this study were: Wi-Fi, SigFox, LoraWAN, ZigBee, WiSUN and GPRS, which are technologies that operate from data collection to the calculation of monitored electrical quantities. Thus, the intelligence of the network resides in the ability of the devices to communicate, exchanging information that makes it possible to build a safer and more efficient network, based on a broad telecommunications support.
