The significant increase in cases of Diabetes Mellitus in Manaus has raised concerns about the environmental and social factors contributing to this situation. As a chronic disease with a substantial impact on individuals’ quality of life, diabetes requires not only technical treatment but also an effective and humanized communication approach. Despite recent advances in medicine, many patients face barriers to treatment adherence due to limited communication with healthcare professionals, which compromises self-care and disease management. The main objective of this project is to understand the dynamics that contribute to the growth of diabetes cases in Manaus, considering factors such as rapid urbanization and changes in lifestyle. It also aims to propose communication strategies focused on disease prevention, health promotion, and strengthening the relationship between healthcare professionals and patients. To achieve these objectives, a mixed-methods approach with an exploratorydescriptive design will be adopted. Questionnaires will be administered to healthcare professionals and residents of Manaus in order to identify perceptions, prior knowledge, and informational gaps regarding diabetes. The data collected will serve as the basis for the development of advertising campaigns aimed at disease prevention, seeking greater alignment with local realities and increased effectiveness in awareness-raising strategies. By integrating the fields of communication and health, this research seeks to expand knowledge on the subject and promote more effective and humanized care practices for addressing the disease in the region.

This research investigates the use of emotional storytelling in the seasonal advertising campaigns of the O Boticário brand, especially in the "Tormenta" (Mother's Day) and "Casa de Vidro" (Christmas) campaigns, both from 2024, with the aim of understanding the impact of these narratives on the reception and behavior of the consumer audience. The general objective is to analyze the brand's strategies in these campaigns, considering the impact and reception of these pieces by the public. Specific objectives include understanding the role of emotion in advertising; qualitatively analyzing the selected narratives; analyzing the emotional response of consumers through virtual interaction; identifying the importance of emotion as a consumption strategy; and identifying the audiovisual elements used in the pieces. The research is qualitative and adopts netnography as a methodological procedure, using as data source the information available on the brand's official YouTube profile. The 10 oldest, 10 most relevant, and 10 most recent comments from each campaign were collected, complemented by an analysis of the advertising films. The results indicate that the success of the campaigns is related to breaking socially expected patterns for commemorative dates, using visual metaphors, soundtracks that resonate with different generations, and cinematic resources that enhance audience identification. Netnographic analysis revealed that "Tormenta" (Storm) immediately evoked empathy and identification in its first impression, with consumers reporting emotion and recognition of their own family experiences; however, over time, the piece accumulated questions about its direct relationship with the brand's products, with observations that the narrative did not show an explicit link to what was being sold. "Casa de Vidro" (Glass House), on the other hand, maintained a uniformly positive reception by delicately addressing the challenge of caring for elderly parents and the unequal division of this responsibility among children. It can be concluded that authenticity in communication and the use of relatable characters, real family conflicts, and audiovisual resources aligned with the audience organically strengthen consumer loyalty, humanizing the brand and consolidating its bond with the public, in addition to contributing to the understanding of the use of emotional storytelling in the Brazilian advertising landscape.

In view of the current context that experiences the implications of globalization, the importance of knowing at least one foreign language as a tool for insertion and social opportunities is visible, in this case English. In Brazil, the teaching of the English language is consolidated in language institutes and in private elementary education, because in the public sector, teaching in the initial grades is still deficient. For this reason, it is necessary an accessible way to help the learning of English in this age group, in this way, in order to solve the above issue, this work proposes to use image classification methods to make learning fun and interactive. In this sense, with the use of computer vision, a convolutional neural network model will be used to translate the images into words in English, thus promoting a playful and accessible teaching.

In the context of inclusive education and assistive technology, this study focused on the development of a computational tool for creating Unified Modeling Language (UML) Use Case diagrams with accessibility features in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras), called UMLibras. The tool aims to support teachers and students, with or without hearing impairments, in the teaching and learning of modeling computer systems from diagrams. The RAD (Rapid Application Development) model was adopted for the development of the tool. RAD is an approach that is particularly suitable for individual projects that require agile development and fast results, while maintaining the quality of the final product. Using the JavaScript library mxGraph and the VLibras API, UMLibras was designed to assist in the modeling of the Use Case diagram with associated figures and videos with interpreters. It is expected that UMLibras will contribute significantly to the teaching and learning of such UML models, seeking to offer support to the teacher in teaching, as well as to create favorable conditions for the learning of these students. In this sense, the use of UMLibras in educational institutions can promote both education and the increase in job offers in an inclusive and egalitarian manner.

This paper presents the development and analysis of a system aimed at evaluating socioeconomic data from Brazilian cities, with the aim of helping to understand regional disparities and formulate more efficient public policies. Data were collected from reliable sources, such as IBGE, DATASUS and INEP, covering education, health and income indicators, which were processed, organized and analyzed using tools such as Dask, Pandas and Cython, which optimized the processing of large volumes of information. The system was structured in a layered architecture, with a backend developed in Flask and compiled in C to improve performance, and an interactive and responsive frontend, implemented with Tailwind CSS, Semantic UI and visualization libraries such as Plotly. The results were presented in dynamic graphs that allow the exploration of data such as the evolution of GDP per capita, average wage and health indicators, highlighting regional disparities and development patterns. The analyses carried out highlighted the reduction in the number of school enrollments after the pandemic, the growing differences in average salaries between regions, and the prevalence of specific health problems in cities such as Manaus. The system proved to be a practical and effective tool for transforming complex data into accessible insights, contributing to urban planning and the competitiveness of Brazilian cities. It is concluded that the integration of socioeconomic data with modern technologies can promote more informed, equitable, and sustainable public management.

(2024-09-02) Costa, Felipe Gonçalves; Lira, Wallace; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7834505234728150; Lira, Wallace; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7834505234728150; Salgado, Andre Wilson Archer Pinto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0197746640735395; Arruda, Éverton Moura; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8458855239132157
K-pop, a South Korean musical genre, emerged in the late 1990s as part of the "Hallyu" movement, or "Korean wave," which propelled South Korean culture onto the global stage. The popularity of K-pop is due to its combination of diverse musical styles, complex choreography, high-production music videos, and highly trained artists, resulting in a significant influence on global entertainment production. Supported by the South Korean government, K-pop has transformed into an economic force, generating over $4.7 billion annually. This growth is driven by private companies that have invested in the country's culture and media export over the past 20 years. A notable aspect is the impact of K-pop on the revitalization of physical album sales, which, despite the digital boom, remain strong due to innovative marketing strategies and fan engagement. Record labels have adapted their promotion and sales strategies to the digital environment, using online platforms and social media to attract consumers, especially young people, who are the main audience of K-pop. This phenomenon reflects contemporary market dynamics and highlights the economic, social, and cultural impact of K-pop, which transcends geographical and cultural boundaries. This study, by analyzing the album "Get Up" by the group NewJeans, aims to explore how digital consumption trends are shaping the promotion and sales of physical albums in K-pop. The research seeks to provide valuable insights for marketing and promotion strategies in other cultural and creative industries.

Most websites, blogs and portals have a comments section where it is possible to give opinions about the subject, ask questions, leave compliments or criticisms, and it is in the users' interest, sometimes, to continue following the update of these comments. The SEETER system is intended to help these users by monitoring in an automated way the comments sections of the sites that have been registered in the system's database. To do this, a search was done to identify regular expressions that correspond to the comments from different sites, and Web Scraping was used to perform a constant count of the comments from the registered links. From this, a system was developed with integrated Back-End and Front-End, that is able to check and notify users each time the number of comments changes. In this way, users can register several site links in SEETER and let the system do the monitoring and notify them when new comments are posted.

People find it difficult to organize their finances, where they often fail to achieve their goals because there is no planning and/or control of their personal expenses. The lack of financial control to achieve goals reflects the lack of computational tools aimed at managing personal goals to deal with expenses or debts, directly impacting the achievement of personal goals. This work aims to develop a web system as a support tool in the planning and control of personal goals. To build and organize the production of this project, a set of activities and practices were adopted, the main ones being: project management, requirements gathering, Lean Inception for building the product backlog and MVP, system design, testing and implementation. The system was fed by users through registration data such as expenses, income and goals. It is expected that through this tool, with simple and intuitive usability features, users will be able to monitor and visualize progress and reach their goals with a maximum value of up to 20 minimum wages.
