The Manaus City has important urban watersheds that have high levels of pollution, occupation of
the margins, reduction of natural drainage and accumulation of solid waste. Such areas need
alternatives that enable the landscape to change positively, improving the quality of these areas,
mobility and leisure in the community. This work identifies and maps the main streams and water
courses in the Manaus’s watersheds and proposes alternatives for the naturalization of the streams'
areas, aiming to guarantee the return of the water courses in their fullness. It uses georeferenced
hydrological maps of the Manaus’s watersheds, research by public agencies and a bibliographic
review by local scientists, who investigate the recovery of riverbeds. Hence, it delimits the watersheds and proposes alternatives for the renaturalization of watercourses. In this way, it aims to contribute
to the discussion regarding environmental sustainability and contribute to raising awareness of the
need to implement actions with socio-environmental responsibility.
