A experiência e os meios de vida dos cooperados da Covema em Manicoré-AM(2022-12-05) Farias, Luiz Matheus Barreto; Aguiar, Janaina; Aguiar, Janaina de; Nina, Nailson Celso da Silva; Araújo, João Soares deThe present study evaluated the effects of the commercialization of Brazil nuts in cooperative members of the Cooperativa Verde de Manicoré (COVEMA), located in the region of the middle Madeira River, Amazonas, in terms of human, social, physical, financial and natural dimensions. The study methodology involved the application of semi-structured questionnaires, which seek to characterize the chest nut trees and analyze their perceptions about the effect of chestnut collection on their family and community life. Fieldwork was carried out in January and February 2017, when 30 people were interviewed. Respondents reported working with other non timber forest products such as açaí, copaíba, Seringa, sorva and tucumã. The sale of nuts contributes more positively to the population's livelihood in its physical and financial dimensions, due to the possibility of generating income that the activity can provide.Item Produção integrada de peixes e hortaliças (AQUAPONIA) no Ifam - Campus Manaus Zona Leste(2020-12-02) Felix, Julio Neto; Ferreira, Mariluce dos Reis; Araújo, João Soares de; Souza, Leonardo Moura de; Oliveira, Rodrigo; Hilário, Clara Silveira; Borges, Caroline LemosF.; Oliveira, Jessica Barbosa deAquaponics is a farming system that unites fish farming (fish farming) and hydroponics (landless plant cultivation, with roots submerged in water) that are areas of the agrarian sciences, specifically aquaculture that is becoming a wide areas of research into alternative new resources for growing vegetables and fish, and new research and a new system help with academic growth, in the countryside and in large cities. This modality of fish farming and plant cultivation tends to save space and time being a source of food, income and quality of life of the rural producer. Nowadays, the world is suffering huge environmental changes in which the mankind needs to produce food; one of the main reasons for this change is the demographic increase and the reduction of natural fish stocks The population has increased and this may reach around 9 billion in 2050, this way, alternatives are sought for a production that provides good food and this system ensures that the market can put multiple ideas of feeding the population, and it is being proved that Aquaponics provides good food for the quality of life for both adults and children. Thus, aquaponics is a viable socio-environmental alternative, since this model of food production that attacks the environment and has the potential to contribute to sustainability in smart cities. The project aims to bring new means of production such as hunger reduction, bringing sustainability and reusing of materials, for this research system was used the acará-açú(Astronotus ocellatus) and vegetable that shows how small adjustments with nature improve a locality and this research and it will expand the knowledge on fish farming, the cultivation of vegetables and fish to sustainable development and business For that, the backyard system will be used, with a hanging garden, perforated pvc pipes for vegetable gardens, a system aid pump, tanks or water boxes to settle, filter and house the fish a 90 centimeter aquarium, being inspected daily, weekly and monthly and at each stage an evaluation made and care during the meantime and thus, this work can increase the knowledge of the students of Federal Institute of Amazonas Campus Manaus Zona Leste, in order to these after egress students take the technique acquired to the communities
