Item O gás natural veicular no município de Manaus: uma análise de disponibilidade, economia e meio ambiente(2024-08-26) Nascimento, David Rychard Pesqueira do; Maciel, Paulo Fernando Figueiredo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0169675639305530; Maciel, Paulo Fernando Figueiredo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0169675639305530; Oliveira Neto, Benjamin Batista de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0355646329266825; Mattos, Marcus Renato Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2890713359271807With the increasing concern about fluctuations in fuel prices, the need to search for options offering greater economic viability becomes evident. In this context, compressed natural gas (CNG) emerges as a promising alternative, not only providing price stability but also significant economic advantages when compared to gasoline and ethanol. The conducted study also aims to assess the availability of natural gas in the Amazon region, with a focus on its supply in the municipality of Manaus. This involves examining existing distribution infrastructure and expansion possibilities to meet the growing demand for cleaner and more economical fuels. Another relevant aspect addressed is the analysis of exhaust emissions indices in a sample of vehicles powered by compressed natural gas in the city of Manaus, compared to conventional liquid fuels such as gasoline and ethanol. The reduction of atmospheric pollutant emissions represents a significant advantage of CNG, contributing to improved air quality and the mitigation of climate change. Through this research, the feasibility of CNG utilization in Manaus is sought to be demonstrated, while also providing insights for public policies promoting the transition to more sustainable and economical energy sources in the transportation sector.Item Projeto conceitual de um tachão sinalizador para tubulações de gás em áreas urbanas(2024-12-09) Pereira, José Carlos Gomes; Nascimento, David Rychard Pesqueira do; Pessoa, Everton Hipólito; Rosa, Roberto Canedo; Fialho, Michaella Socorro BruceItem Utilização do gás natural veicular no Brasil(2021-05-21) Silva, Wallace Pereira da; Costa, José Francisco de Caldas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5703032306296974; Costa, José Francisco de Caldas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5703032306296974; Lima, Placido Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0865439005714077; Chagas, Sidney Assis; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1705258854443084Currently, several factors stimulate the search for an alternative fuel for motor vehicles. A possible scarcity of oil over the years due to the demand for fuels generated by the constant increase of the vehicle fleet on the streets, the increase in the value of fuels that has been constant in recent months and the concern with the emission of pollutants in the environment, they are important aspects that lead us to search for measures that can minimize these factors. In this scenario, vehicular natural gas emerged as an effective alternative to reduce dependence on oil, in addition to being a less aggressive source to the environment. Therefore, the present work has as main objective to investigate which are the possible uses of vehicular natural gas and its advantages for Brazil. And as specific objectives: to show whether the use of CNG reveals a trend of economic growth for Brazil; report the environmental advantages of using GNV; analyze Brazil's experience in the GNV market. The methodology used in this research consists of a bibliographic search, which uses as a base the work of other authors on the same theme, using the following databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online repository (Scielo), Google Scholar and the website of CAPES journals. According to the results obtained during the research, it was observed that the conversion of vehicles to a CNG-powered engine increases the engine's useful life, as it is a clean and dry fuel due to its more complete burning than other fuels. Being safer, cleaner and less toxic, when compared to others, producing a cleaner and more uniform burning, therefore, it is considered to have little impact on the environment.Item Geração de energia elétrica a gás natural no município de Caapiranga-AM(2021-04-05) Souza, Samanhtha Nathália da Silva; Lima, Elaine Carvalho de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0858263572516136; Lima, Elaine Carvalho de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0858263572516136; Soares, José Josimar; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8049341977402653; Queiroga, Alberto Luiz Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9632649964503729Over time, man has been developing and mastering technologies at different stages of the evolution of science that has allowed various sources of energy to be developed. The northern region of Brazil in particular, the state of Amazonas (AM) has some peculiarities with regard to its regional integration with the rest of the country. Thus, the configuration itself in the midst of the Amazon biome poses a series of challenges for the state in terms of access to electricity. From this context, the present work has as objective: to elaborate a maintenance plan in the energy generating unit and to demonstrate its importance to the stability and reliability of the electrical system. In methodological terms, a qualitative approach was chosen, as it has a greater focus on understanding and explaining the facts, as well as greater familiarity with the object of study. In general, the results showed the importance of maintenance for the continuity of activities, especially in a scenario of logistical difficulties as we are faced with the reality of Amazonas.Item Análise do rendimento de uma caldeira flamotubular sem o reaproveitamento de retorno de condensado através de um pré aquecedor de água(2021-05-13) Freitas, Marcelo da Costa; Machado, Carlos José Baptista; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2613703649034215; Lima, Placido Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0865439005714077; Santos, Antônio Aurélio Pereira dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4252052970703374This paper presents the analysis, sizing and installation of a heat exchanger in a threepass flamotubular boiler that operates with natural gas. The boiler outlet gases at 200ºC were used to preheat the available boiler feed water to 30ºC. The method adopted for the heat exchanger sizing was the effectiveness Number of Transfer Units (NUT). After installation of the heat exchanger, also called economizer, the feed water enters the boiler at 75 ° C. This temperature gain has made it possible to soften steam generation interruptions as replacement water enters the boiler, keeping steam working pressure more stable and improving the condition of steam generation. This made the equipment more efficient, reducing the production costs of the Styrofoam product. The economist's employment generated a monthly savings of 20% in natural gas consumption, or around 1620 Nm³ per month.
