The research will analyze the operation of a turbine and show the effects of the incoming air on the machine's drop in performance. The generating engine object of this research is the GE LM6000PC aeroderivative gas turbine, located in an electric power generation park located in Manaus-Am. Based on bibliographic research, information collected in the generator park, the work developed as a descriptive research, and soon afterwards, simulations were performed using the Engineering Equation Solver (EES) thermodynamic function calculations program. The data generated in the EES were inserted in a spreadsheet and a graph of temperature vs. yield was generated in MS Excel. The graph shows, by means of variations in the parameters for decreasing the inlet air temperature, the quantification of the increase, up to 7.00%, in the efficiency of the gas turbine. It begins with the concepts and definitions of thermodynamics, then the concepts of the zero law of thermodynamics are explained. The first law, with details coming from its formula as the variation of internal energy, work and its applications. The conditions of the second law began. We presented the ideas of reversibility and reversibility of a system showing the thoughts of Sadi Carnot for the construction of his perfect machine and the maximum yield that it could achieve. The present work seeks to evaluate the operation process of a plastic injection molding machine, in order to map the environmental risks to which workers are exposed, as well as to suggest preventive measures for its control and elimination. To this end, all stages of the work of a plastic injection molding machine operator were described, the concept of environmental risks was presented, and a qualitative survey was carried out which enabled the description and analysis of the risks through a Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) and, later, apply the Method of Analysis and Trouble Solution (MASP) to identify the root causes of the problems found in the PHA and the suggestion of effective preventive measures. From the results obtained with the work, it was demonstrated the effectiveness in the use of the analysis methods and, consequently, the need to adopt preventive and corrective measures, in order to avoid accidents in the plastic injection process.
