Item Estudo do dimensionamento de soldas de filete produzidas pelo processo de soldagem por eletrodo revestido(2016-12-06) Lêdo, Getro Felipe Simões; Sarkis, Sávio Raider Matos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6674204758775154; Sarkis, Sávio Raider Matos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6674204758775154; Gama, Marcelo Martins da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2955108730907462; Nascimento, Andrea Regina Leite do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2993012897803928The enormous need for cost reduction has proved to be a determining factor in ensuring the survival and competitiveness of companies in various industries. The wide application of fillet welds, about 80% of all world production, generated the motivation to elaborate the present study on the dimensioning of fillet welds produced by the process of welding to e lectric arc by coated electrode. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between the resistance and the length of the weld bead, as well as to discuss the behavior of the efficiency and deposition rate of the E6013 and E7018 electrode s as a function of optimum current v alues, as well as to determine t he costs of welding metal using different electrodes. This allowed us to perform a quantitative evaluation on each of the factors considered, besides allowing a qualitative discussion on t he influence of the welding current, the rate and efficiency of deposition of the electrodes considered and the discontinuities in the increase of the welding costs.Item Análise comparativa de juntas soldadas com variação de tensão em chapa de aço carbono 1020 com eletrodo E7018(2016-12-07) Oliveira Neto, Erasmo Aquino de; Gama, Marcelo Martins da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2955108730907462; Gama, Marcelo Martins da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2955108730907462; Nascimento, Andrea Regina Leite do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2993012897803928; Sarkis, Sávio Raider Matos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6674204758775154This work presents a comparative analysis of top joint in welding with E7018 coated electrode in 1020 carbon steel sheet, by tensile test, and aims at the realization and analysis of resistance of welded metal to sheets welded with the same process, but with different amps. In order to carry out a study of the results, the present work proposes a comparative analysis of bodies of equal thickness of 1/4 ", with posterior tensile testing and analysis of the results by stress strain diagrams. In order to improve the knowledge about the work, is made the bibliographic review study with the main topics related to the study, for example, symbologies used in the welding, welding equipment used in industry, coated electrode concept, as well as its specifications of use, safety standards that are used, the sample body model and the type of test used. The steel used in the study has a low carbon content, on average 0.2%, and is composed of manganese, phosphorus. For the preparation of the test specimens, the plasma cutting process was used due to its ease and simplicity of use. The welding process chosen was the electrode coating with direct current from ESAB MOD OrigoTM ARC 406 machine. The results show the differences in the mechanical strengths, the number of passages and the point of rupture of the weld for each type of current.Item A importância da inspeção de defeitos de soldagem por fusão através de ensaios não destrutivos e da metodologia PoD(2017-06-28) Garcia, Luiz Eduardo Caldas; Monteiro, Alberto de Castro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8300386519703896; Monteiro, Alberto de Castro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8300386519703896; Nascimento, Andrea Regina Leite do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2993012897803928This work came initially from the need to make a study on the reliability of non destructive tests in the application of detection of welding defects. We know that inspections, in most cases, are performed manually, and the human factor, however well-trained and knowledgeable for make this activity, reduces the reliability of inspection visual results. Therefore, it is necessary to apply auxiliary statistical tools in the detection of defects, to guarantee the reliability of the inspection. First, a review of the literature on welding and applications was made. The following was a survey of the main defects inherent in fusion welding processes. The study allowed us to conclude that the use of PoD curves in the tests is a simple methodology, which provides a greater reliability to the test because it allows greater certainty that an identified defect is actually present in the inspected part, since the curve Is generated according to the dimensions of a defect.Item Análise dos efeitos causados nas propriedades mecânicas de tração e dureza da liga de alumínio AA6351-T6 após soldagem TIG(2017-12-13) Silva, Saymon Castro Sombra da; Monteiro, Alberto de Castro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8300386519703896; Monteiro, Alberto de Castro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8300386519703896; Castro, Cristovão Américo Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4930257608461492; Arruda, Gutembergue da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8833717823163756This monograph investigated the effects of TIG welding on the mechanical properties of traction and hardness of AA6351-T6 wrought aluminum alloy. It was used the aluminum welding metallurgy studies of Kou (2003) and Mathers (2002). The general objective of this work is to raise the interferences of the TIG welding in an aluminum alloy of the series 6000 (Mg-Si), in respect of mechanical strength by mechanical tests of hardness and traction. The tensile test was performed on a butt joint of the aluminum alloy welded in the TIG process and also the hardness profile and macrografy in the heated affected zone and fusion zone. The results of the base metal were compared with those of the welded joint with the following conditions: Bar A as welded and Bar B welded and heated treated with T6. Finally, the analysis of the losses and gains in percentages. The results showed through the macrography that the welding was successful, and it was not possible to verify any typical weld defect. In the mechanical tests the welded sample had a reduction of about 50% in tensile strength and hardness of HAZ, keeping FZ without much loss of hardness in relation to BM. The samples that were treated with T6 artificial aging had a reduction of a little less than 35% in the tensile strength and completely recovered their hardness in the HAZ, but had a reduction of almost 50% of hardness in the FZ, making the material unable of deforming plastically and hence making to this zone of brittleness, which can be verified with the strain-strain graph and the elongation which was only 5%. In this way it was verified that welding causes loss of severe mechanical resistance in the AA6351-T6 aluminum alloy and the artificial aging treatment recovers the resistance in the HAZ, but it greatly reduces the resistance in the FZ making the weld bead a zone subject to breakage.
