The farm, recognized for producing high-quality guarana since 2009, incorporated a new machine into its production system in 2022, modernizing the dehydration process, which is essential for ensuring the quality and viability of the seeds. The automation proposal includes a closed-loop control system, in which the temperature and uniformity of the dehydration would be continuously monitored by sensors. This data would allow for real-time automatic adjustments, ensuring that the temperature remains within the desired limits, which is crucial for the quality of the final product. The PID (Proportional-IntegralDerivative) controller would be the central component of this system, regulating the fan speed and ensuring uniform dehydration. The adoption of this technology is expected to bring significant improvements in terms of efficiency, precision in process control, and sustainability, reducing energy waste and operation time. Closed-loop automation has the potential to raise control and quality standards in the dehydration of guarana seeds, representing a significant advancement in the local agribusiness. The robot was designed to follow guided paths marked by lines and use sensors for navigation and obstacle detection. The robot's control system was developed using electronic circuits and specific programming. The main objective is to ensure precise and efficient transportation of raw materials, minimizing the need for manual intervention and reducing operational risks associated with this activity. The expected results indicate that the development of the robot can lead to significant improvements in operational efficiency and safety, with a potential reduction in the frequency of accidents and downtime associated with material transportation. Automation promises important benefits, such as reducing the dependence on specialized labor and creating new opportunities for optimizing industrial processes. The proposed solution utilizes the Arduino platform to integrate sensors that monitor variables such as water flow, pH, and nutrient solution temperature, aiming to maintain suitable conditions for plant development. The system is powered by a photovoltaic panel, with energy stored in batteries to ensure continuous operation, even during nighttime periods. The proposed automation seeks to optimize hydroponic cultivation by addressing the environmental challenges of the region, such as managing high evaporation rates and maintaining nutrient solution stability in a hot and humid environment. Previously, this task was performed manually by two employees, which made the process repetitive, slow, and prone to operational errors. The process automation was achieved through the integration of a servo motor and a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), resulting in a significant increase in production efficiency. The developed system integrates mechanics, electronics, and automation, optimizing workflow, reducing production time, and minimizing human intervention. The research explores the main causes of failures, such as software development errors and integration issues between components, as well as analyzes their impacts on industrial processes and overall project performance. Based on a literature review and case studies, effective strategies and tools for risk mitigation were identified, such as integrated testing, technical validations, the use of specific standards (IEC 61508, IEC 61511, and ISO 31000), and engineering best practices. The study also emphasizes the importance of detailed planning and continuous monitoring throughout all stages of the systems' life cycle. The results indicate that proactive risk management significantly contributes to cost reduction, increased operational reliability, and the prevention of critical failures. The proposal aims to enhance safety in electrical installations by preventing the risk of explosions caused by the activation of electrical circuits in environments with gas leaks. The device is based on LPG gas detection sensors which, upon identifying the presence of gas, automatically trigger a system to shut off the home's electrical network. In addition, to ensure accessibility and maximum safety, the system emits both sound and light alerts, ensuring that individuals with hearing impairments are properly notified. To further extend protection, the device also connects to a Wi-Fi network and sends a message via WhatsApp to the property owner, alerting them to the gas leak and enabling safety measures to be taken remotely. The goal is to monitor and optimize water use, providing real-time data for strategic decisions. The physical prototype is the basis of the system. It brings together a water flow sensor, an ESP8266 microcontroller, and a Wi-Fi router. The sensor collects water consumption data, which is processed by the ESP8266 and transmitted via Wi-Fi to the web platform. The web platform, developed with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, receives the data from the prototype, stores it in a database, and presents it to the user in the form of graphs and reports. This platform also allows you to configure consumption limits and define personalized alerts. The project is divided into two crucial phases: Phase 1: Prototype assembly and programming: In this step, the prototype is assembled with the aforementioned components. The ESP8266 microcontroller is programmed to collect data from the sensor, process it, and transmit it via Wi-Fi to the platform. Phase 2: Web platform development: The platform is built to receive, store and present the prototype data. Functionalities such as real-time visualization, graphing and reporting, setting alerts and defining consumption limits can be implemented. With the application of technology and control systems, tasks that were previously performed manually have been transformed into more efficient and safer operations. The implementation of process automation in the company Incubated at IFAM-CMZL (Federal Institute of Amazonas - Campus Manaus East Zone) has been a notable example of how the adoption of automated systems can bring significant benefits. The present study aims to investigate the advances and benefits of process automation in the industry, focusing on the case study of the company incubated at IFAM-CMZL. This research, according to its purpose, is classified as an applied research, as for the general purpose, this work consists of an exploratory research. Based on the results obtained and the experiences lived during this study, some suggestions for future work were identified that could complement and deepen the research carried out. Although it has been observed that automation has brought significant improvements to the company, it is important to analyze the financial aspects and costs involved in implementing automated processes. Finally, studies are suggested to investigate other stages of the production process in the food industry that could be automated. A factory in the PIM (industrial center of Manaus) in the two-wheel niche, more precisely in the foundry sector, during the injection of aluminum for the conformation of the part, a “branch” is created that joins the parts that come out of the mold. To remove this material and separate the parts, the operator needs to hit the part with the hammer while the part is hot to break the branch. With all this range of applications, in this TCC an automation project was proposed with the objective of investigating how robotization can be used in the automation of the toilet paper line with the use of industrial robotics. Therefore, the idea was to improve the factory's production process, reduce costs, reduce production time and increase productivity. However, it should be noted how the applicability of these robots may or may not be efficient in the production chain and also in the life of workers in factory environments. From this study, it is concluded that the automation of the production process at the inlet and outlet of the line using robots and an AGV trolley to transport logs requires further studies.
