Item Gestão de resíduos sólidos urbanos em Manaus – análise das modalidades: coleta domiciliar e coleta seletiva(2023-03-12) Silva, Lais de SouzaThe urban solid waste (USW) management has been earn prominence around the world, because an inadequate management cause a series of negative impacts on the human Life. The impacts go since atmospheric pollution until visual pollution and even same the health population. The article is about management solid waste USW in the modality home and selective collection one of being more practiced on the city but behind bad consequences for the population and the other is on the process implementation with focus on reducing impacts in the environment. The chalegend of USW management is ponder the exaggerated generation and ensure environment a good final disposal of wastes. The objective of this study is to show how could be done the USW management in the modality home collection and selective collection. The methodology used to achieve established objectives was bibliographic search exploratory documentary as qualitative nature cause it aim valuable results that add knowlegde to the society such informations was taken of publications made in the databases, most used for research in Brazil, and in the world and in the government web sites. However, if such waste remains untreated, this leads to pollution of air, water, soil or solid waste. In this context, it is worth mentioning the importance of higher education institutions in society in two fundamental aspects: creating and disseminating knowledge, and being a reference in terms of attitude, training students, both as professionals and as citizens. Therefore, the objective of this study was to ascertain the types of wastes generated by mechanical laboratories and how their actual disposal is done. For the study, a structured questionnaire was used as a data collection tool, with a group of 28 students from the technical course of medium level in Mechanics. It was possible to conclude that in IFAM, in general, there are existing environmental initiatives, which should continue to be adopted for the increasing process of awareness raising and subsequent awareness in all the sectors that comprise it, with the aim of adopting an Environmental Management System.Item Avaliação sobre o lixo: alternativas para compreensão do uso e desuso(2019-12-06) Pinto, Sofia Simões; Paes, Lucilene da Silva; Paes, Lucilene da Silva; Farias, Maristela Lima de; Oliveira, Adriano Teixeira deThis work aimed to understand the conceptions of the students of the Federal Institute of Education Science and Technology (IFAM) regarding the destination of waste, in order to provide actions that raise awareness of the preservation and protection of natural resources in society. To this end, questionnaires were applied in a collection action at Ponta Negra beach and an online questionnaire with IFAM students. The results showed that although they are aware of the impacts caused by improper waste disposal, students also discard some materials incorrectly, such as electronic waste. Thus environmental education is the way for each individual to change habits by assuming new attitudes that lead to the reduction of environmental degradation and promote the conservation and improvement of quality of life in harmony with natural resources.Item A relação entre alimentação e produção de resíduos sólidos numa perspectiva de educação ambiental para o ensino fundamental(2019-12-06) Santos, Giovanna Gabrielle Oliveira dos; Pinto, Elson Antonio Sadalla; Pinto, Elson Antonio Sadalla; Souza, Heliamara Paixão de; Paes, Lucilene da SilvaIn recent years there has been a growing concern with the theme of solid waste generation, being recognized as a significant social problem with high environmental and economic impact, so conscious consumption appears to present a way of life that values environmental responsibility, which observes the impacts that a product can have on the environment. The aim of this paper was to present a study about the conceptions of the elementary school students of a public school in Manaus regarding the relation between food versus solid waste production. To this end, a bibliographic and documentary survey was conducted on the themes: legislation, sustainability, conscious consumption, solid waste and food. The present work sought to contribute to a state school in the public system of Manaus, because although it operates in an area of educational services, which operates at the regional level, the school does not have a teaching directed to solid waste and eating habits, duly elaborated and implemented, as they are presented as transversal themes.
