With the application of technology and control systems, tasks that were previously performed manually have been transformed into more efficient and safer operations. The implementation of process automation in the company Incubated at IFAM-CMZL (Federal Institute of Amazonas - Campus Manaus East Zone) has been a notable example of how the adoption of automated systems can bring significant benefits. The present study aims to investigate the advances and benefits of process automation in the industry, focusing on the case study of the company incubated at IFAM-CMZL. This research, according to its purpose, is classified as an applied research, as for the general purpose, this work consists of an exploratory research. Based on the results obtained and the experiences lived during this study, some suggestions for future work were identified that could complement and deepen the research carried out. Although it has been observed that automation has brought significant improvements to the company, it is important to analyze the financial aspects and costs involved in implementing automated processes. Finally, studies are suggested to investigate other stages of the production process in the food industry that could be automated. Continuing research and improving automation processes will certainly bring significant benefits to the food industry as a whole.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Automatização do processo de desidratação de sementes de guaraná em Maués: uma solução para melhorar o desempenho e a qualidade na indústria alimentícia(2025-05-05) Freitas, William Lessa; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467; Lima, Jonatas Micael Vieira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4866950717399057This work addresses the proposal for automating the guarana seed dehydration machine at Fazenda Maués, a branch of Cibea Manaus. The farm, recognized for producing high-quality guarana since 2009, incorporated a new machine into its production system in 2022, modernizing the dehydration process, which is essential for ensuring the quality and viability of the seeds. The automation proposal includes a closed-loop control system, in which the temperature and uniformity of the dehydration would be continuously monitored by sensors. This data would allow for real-time automatic adjustments, ensuring that the temperature remains within the desired limits, which is crucial for the quality of the final product. The PID (Proportional-IntegralDerivative) controller would be the central component of this system, regulating the fan speed and ensuring uniform dehydration. The adoption of this technology is expected to bring significant improvements in terms of efficiency, precision in process control, and sustainability, reducing energy waste and operation time. Closed-loop automation has the potential to raise control and quality standards in the dehydration of guarana seeds, representing a significant advancement in the local agribusiness. Therefore, this work aims to contribute to the understanding of the proposed innovations in guarana industry automation, highlighting its importance for modernization and quality in production.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Desenvolvimento de sistema automático de rotação em 180° para posicionamento de módulos em linha de produção(2025-04-30) Ribeiro, Eduardo Neves; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467; Lima, Jonatas Micael Vieira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4866950717399057This paper presents the implementation of an automatic 180° rotation system on a conveyor belt, aiming to optimize the precise positioning of television modules on the production line. Previously, this task was performed manually by two employees, which made the process repetitive, slow, and prone to operational errors. The process automation was achieved through the integration of a servo motor and a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), resulting in a significant increase in production efficiency. The developed system integrates mechanics, electronics, and automation, optimizing workflow, reducing production time, and minimizing human intervention. This implementation brought benefits such as error reduction, greater precision in positioning, and increased workplace safety.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Robô AGV em escala reduzida com ênfase no transporte de materiais guiado por linha(2025-04-29) Cavalcante, Jonilson de Oliveira; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467; Lima, Jonatas Micael Vieira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4866950717399057This work describes the development and implementation of a prototype AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) on a reduced scale, aimed at transporting raw materials in industrial environments, with an emphasis on automation. The robot was designed to follow guided paths marked by lines and use sensors for navigation and obstacle detection. The robot's control system was developed using electronic circuits and specific programming. The main objective is to ensure precise and efficient transportation of raw materials, minimizing the need for manual intervention and reducing operational risks associated with this activity. The expected results indicate that the development of the robot can lead to significant improvements in operational efficiency and safety, with a potential reduction in the frequency of accidents and downtime associated with material transportation. Automation promises important benefits, such as reducing the dependence on specialized labor and creating new opportunities for optimizing industrial processes. The expectation is that the robot's operation will provide a safer and more economical workflow, improving overall efficiency in the industrial environment.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Sistema automatizado para hidroponia sustentável: uma abordagem aplicada ao clima do Amazonas(2025-04-28) Silva, Alex Santana da; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467; Lima, Jonatas Micael Vieira deThis work presents the development of an automated system for controlling hydroponic cultivation of vegetables, designed to operate under the specific climatic conditions of Manaus, Amazonas, a region characterized by high relative humidity and elevated temperatures.
