Designed for winds between 3 m/s and 8 m/s (typical of riverside areas), the structure employs blades made from recycled materials (such as discarded PVC) and a simplified transmission system, where the fan motor—modified to enhance magnetic induction—converts kinetic energy into electrical energy with up to 45% efficiency. Coupled with reused lead-acid batteries, the system stores up to 1.2 kWh, ensuring energy autonomy for 10 hours in the absence of wind—sufficient to power LED lighting, portable chargers, and small water pumps. Field tests under high humidity and sudden wind variations proved the prototype’s robustness, operating continuously for 72 hours without failure. Reusing the fan motor reduced costs by 40% (compared to commercial generators) and enabled training residents in practical workshops for assembly and repair, eliminating dependence on fossil fuels and reducing irregular disposal of electronics by 80%. Beyond enabling affordable energy, the initiative strengthens community management, integrating technical innovation, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion in historically neglected regions.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Estudo de viabilidade e prototipagem de um sistema de metrô suspenso para Manaus: um enfoque na mobilidade urbana sustentável(2025-01-17) Alecrim Junior, Jackson Gervásio de; Frota, Vítor Bremgartner da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6100146230873494; Velozo, Hugo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8351107136518878; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5998752909180697The work proposes the development of a suspended subway system for Manaus, inspired by the elevated subway of Wuppertal, Germany, recognized for its operational efficiency and intelligent adaptation to the urban environment. And this directly implies improvement work aimed at eliminating waste, increasing profit and maintaining the quality that the market expects. That said, the present work shows that even processes that have been established for a long time can be improved to the point of being on par with current generation equipment. using low-cost resources, already available, and critical analysis of process improvement by those involved. This work describes the improvement in a robotic spot-welding process in which only 3% of the electrode was used, that is, only 0.3 mm of 9mm of the consumables (electrode CT – 309 (bullet). The aim of the improvement is to change the robot's manual adjustment system to an autonomous adjustment system, thus ensuring the conscious use of its consumables. Petri nets were used to model the system and from this, a prototype was proposed using the ladder language and instruction list as programming. At the end, the metrics of the processes before and after optimization are compared. If before we used 3% of the electrode, after the improvement we achieved the result of 67% use of the electrode, that is, we started to use 6mm of the electrode, keeping only the final 3mm as a safety margin with reference to the manufacturer's recommendation.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Otimização na preparação metalográfica de controle de qualidade em um processo de cementação para redução de tempo de preparo(2025-04-30) Mineiro Filho, José Feitoza; Cordeiro, Celso Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4969144304480235; Ribeiro, Ewerton Andrey Godinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0187470129136467; Lima, Jonatas Micael Vieira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4866950717399057This work aims to optimize the metallographic preparation of quality control in a cementation process, focusing on reducing preparation time. Cementation is a widely used thermochemical treatment in the metallurgical industry, particularly for components that require high wear resistance, such as shafts and gears. Although essential, this process is complex and can become a bottleneck in production due to the numerous steps involved before final approval for the grinding process. The research is based on a quantitative analysis, where data on the Lead Time of the cementation process were collected. The results indicated that the preparation time is excessive, directly impacting the operational efficiency of the company. Identifying the steps that contribute most to this delay was crucial for developing optimization strategies. To address this issue, continuous improvement methodologies, particularly Kaizen, were implemented, focusing on waste elimination and promoting incremental improvements. The application of Kaizen in the cementation process allowed for a critical analysis of the involved steps, enabling the identification of improvement points that could be implemented to reduce preparation time without compromising the final product's quality. Additionally, the work includes a literature review that contextualizes the importance of cementation and metallographic preparation, discussing best practices and innovations in the field. The review also emphasizes the need for rigorous control during sample preparation, as the quality of metallographic analysis is fundamental to ensuring that components meet market standards. The results demonstrated that through the optimization of cementation process steps and the implementation of continuous improvement practices, it was possible to significantly reduce preparation time. This reduction not only increased production efficiency but also improved customer satisfaction, as they began to receive high-quality products within shorter timeframes. In conclusion, this work contributes to the machining field by presenting practical solutions that can be applied in industrial environments, promoting continuous improvement and competitiveness in the market. The findings highlight the importance of adequate planning and the adoption of continuous improvement methodologies to ensure efficiency and quality in machining and cementation processes.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso Projeto de uma secadora de filamentos com foco em baixo custo(2025-04-23) Almeida, Natã da Silva; Santos, Renan Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6930748017205035; Souza, Daniel Fonseca de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4043793492782488; Gadelha, Vitor Fernando de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4283627740352016This work aims to develop a low-cost filament dryer designed for 3D printer users who face print quality issues due to excessive ambient humidity.
