There are an infinite variety of suppliers and manufacturers due to large applicability. Thus, quality control is important to ensure its mechanical properties in accordance with standards. So, the aim of this study was to compare randomly obtained generic bolts and standard bolts against established quality assurance standards. With regard to the tensile mechanical properties, the results showed that a standardized screw has a maximum resistance stress of 1137.39 ± 18.2 MPa, a lower value than that of a generic screw of 1164.00 MPa ± 32.42. However, the elongation of standardized screws was approximately 14%, a value higher than that of generic screws, around 10%. The Rockwell hardness results (HRC) confirmed that both bolts undergo a tempering and tempering heat treatment, as well observed on the microstructure. And finally, the elemental analysis of the percentage of Carbon-Sulfur showed that both bolts had values within the specified range. It was used the aluminum welding metallurgy studies of Kou (2003) and Mathers (2002). The general objective of this work is to raise the interferences of the TIG welding in an aluminum alloy of the series 6000 (Mg-Si), in respect of mechanical strength by mechanical tests of hardness and traction. The tensile test was performed on a butt joint of the aluminum alloy welded in the TIG process and also the hardness profile and macrografy in the heated affected zone and fusion zone. The results of the base metal were compared with those of the welded joint with the following conditions: Bar A as welded and Bar B welded and heated treated with T6. Finally, the analysis of the losses and gains in percentages. The results showed through the macrography that the welding was successful, and it was not possible to verify any typical weld defect. In the mechanical tests the welded sample had a reduction of about 50% in tensile strength and hardness of HAZ, keeping FZ without much loss of hardness in relation to BM. The samples that were treated with T6 artificial aging had a reduction of a little less than 35% in the tensile strength and completely recovered their hardness in the HAZ, but had a reduction of almost 50% of hardness in the FZ, making the material unable of deforming plastically and hence making to this zone of brittleness, which can be verified with the strain-strain graph and the elongation which was only 5%. In this way it was verified that welding causes loss of severe mechanical resistance in the AA6351-T6 aluminum alloy and the artificial aging treatment recovers the resistance in the HAZ, but it greatly reduces the resistance in the FZ making the weld bead a zone subject to breakage.Item Aplicação da nr-13 em vasos de pressão: teste hidrostático de um vaso de pressão do laboratório de mecânica do IFAM, Manaus-AM.(2022-01-11) Menezes, Nazário Brasil; Castro, Cristovão Américo Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4930257608461492; Castro, Cristovão Américo Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4930257608461492; Chagas, Sidney Assis; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1705258854443084; Lima, Placido Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0865439005714077NR-13 is a standard of the Ministry of Labor and Employment of Brazil and aims to establish minimum requirements for managing the structural integrity of steam boilers, pressure vessels and their interconnecting pipes in aspects related to installation, inspection, operation and maintenance, aiming at the safety and health of workers. The objective of this work is to apply the NR-13 through a checklist when performing a hydrostatic test in a pressure vessel in the IFAM mechanics laboratory. It is a bibliographical and experimental research, of a qualitative nature. A thorough reading of NR-13 was sought, a list of items to be inspected based on NR-13 was produced and a hydrostatic test was performed with a pressure vessel in the mechanics laboratory, where the importance of integrity was highlighted structure of the vessel, since the rupture of a unit of it causes serious accidents. When it comes to the mechanics of cargo and troop transport aircraft, specifically, there is a whole sequence of factors that directly influence the availability of the aircraft. This can affect existing demands, such as transportation of supplies to more distant locations, the cause of an aeronautical accident, failure to carry out an aeromedical evacuation (EVAM) or transport of organs, causing the worsening of medical situations, which may lead to the loss of the patient. Given this, this study was carried out with a qualitative and quantitative approach, based on bibliographical and documentary research, nothing the need for safer and faster preventive and/or corrective maintenance. For this, technical manuals were also used, respecting the foreseen limits, avoiding damage and loss of aeronautical materials, contributing to the State’s economy. To obtain an improvement in properties, it is used in the form of an alloy. Aluminum alloys aim to improve their properties and are formed with the addition of other materials, the so-called alloying elements. The alloy used in this work is the 6061, an alloy that has as main alloying elements silicon and magnesium and the mechanical property to be improved is its hardness. The main way to increase the hardness of an aluminum alloy is called precipitation hardening, a process that is divided into three stages: solubilization, quenching and aging (which can occur naturally or artificially). This work intends to accompany the Implementation of the Maintenance Planning and Control (PCM) functions in a two-wheel hub company in the industrial district. This implementation proposes to approach the concepts of PCM, portraying the system used until then by the sector in order to suggest improvements based on the management of the PCM. The methodology used will then be divided into four stages. The first is based on assessing which maintenance methods are appropriate for the assets present in the company. In the second phase, the specific functions of the PCM are structured, with the registration and classification of assets being carried out in agreement with the sectors of production and quality. In the third stage, maintenance schedules are developed and maintenance sheets are created, in the last stage, maintenance indicators are implemented. For this, many of them, in addition to being aware of technological innovations, also promote internal improvement programs in order to obtain viable solutions and with the certainty of a return on investment. Aiming to propose improvements in real industrial processes, the present work deals with the study of the preheating of metallic molds in a pressure casting process that uses ZAMAC alloy as raw material and has as main objective to show the feasibility in the implementation of this process. The applied methodology comprises bibliographical research and simulation of the implementation of this process in a company that has a casting sector that includes the necessary specifications. To this end, a bibliographic, explanatory and applied research was used as a method for data collection, as well as a case study of an aeronautical accident with an EC225 helicopter aircraft in Norway due to a collapse in a metallic and rotating mechanical component. caused by mechanical fatigue. From the study of failures due to mechanical fatigue, it was possible to perceive the importance of studying failure mechanisms, as well as testing techniques and failure prevention and control methods. It is understood that air traffic is characterized by the circulation of several aircraft and requires the provision of services by controllers who monitor, guide and give all guidelines so that the flow is safe, fast and orderly, both in the air and on the ground. In addition to the human contribution, this work would not be possible if certain elements were not made up such as equipment and “software”, being extremely necessary to have greater ease in controlling aircraft in order to always maintain the highest levels of safety. It is noteworthy that the Radar, being a device that allows detecting objects and infers distances from electromagnetic waves emitted by the equipment itself and received by the aircraft's echo, helps to maintain the safety of air traffic, which is essential for a quantitative greater number of aircraft that land and take off at all times, transporting cargo, people, etc. In this sense, this study was carried out with a qualitative approach, where bibliographical and documentary research were carried out, emphasizing the verification of the composition and functioning of the Radar Star2000 through technical manuals, as well as the "software" that assists the aforementioned equipment in the detection of aircraft for traffic control. As it is a complex and robust equipment, it facilitates the assembly and maintenance of passenger vehicles, being mandatory its use in car shops, auto centers and mechanic workshops. The research started by inspecting different defective equipment, selecting and categorizing faults, performing measurements on a specific system. Inputs and outputs were conditioned, PLC and frequency inverter were configured. The methodology consisted of collecting information on the different control and driving force systems of the elevator, making visits to the location where the equipment is located. And the objective is to compare a corrective maintenance program (current) with the preventive maintenance plan (ideal). The methodology used was divided into four stages, such as what are the study or case factors, with probability of failure, development of a cycle counter device and finally, or a preventive maintenance plan. As the results were given frequency of failure and the most recurrent failure modes, as well as a probability of failure was identified, the ideal period for preventive maintenance, or the number of pre-failure operation cycles and the preventive maintenance plan used previous results. In view of the effectiveness of these practices, the WCM (World Class Manufacturing) methodology turned them into one of its 10 technical pillars, for the development of these activities within the methodology it is necessary to follow the tools: CIL-R, Dirt source map, AM cards, Area classification, Golden zone, SOP, 5S, ECRS. The entire process of implementing autonomous maintenance on a machine begins with the reestablishment of its basic conditions, so it is essential to clean and remove useless objects, in order to identify and treat such anomalies. The following steps will only be effective if the first one is done in a thorough and precise way, as they are based on the results found in the previous one. The little available literature was evidenced because it is not frequently applied to fluid flow problems. In this work, we seek a simulative approach combined with the scarce bibliography available on this subject. In order to obtain some results in the use of programs related to Finite Element that use a numerical mesh related to the calculation of Fluid Mechanics, this can be noticed in the final considerations and in the choice of the best constructions of the studied models. Finally, it is noticed that the construction of a model, depending on the application, becomes opportune in order to improve the performance of the valve.
