The research highlights the fundamental principles behind the SMT process, analyzing its crucial role in the efficiency and performance of modern electronic devices. Initially, the transition from conventional assembly technology to SMT is explored, highlighting the advantages that have driven this change, such as reduced space, greater automation and efficiency in production. The study delves into the key aspects of the SMT process, from the components and equipment used to the reflow soldering techniques and quality inspection. In addition, the challenges faced in deploying SMT are examined, such as the need for specialized skills and the complexity of reworking faulty welds. At the same time, strategies to optimize the process are presented, aiming to maximize the efficiency and quality of the final products. Through parameter adjustments, focusing on the use of Fuji Flexa software and the application of the OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) performance indicator, a reduction in cycle time from 64.98 seconds to 53.88 seconds was obtained, furthermore, the number of defective boards decreases from 8 to just 2, the adaptations in the parameters reflected directly on the OEE. The analysis of the OEE before and after the changes showed a notable increase, from 70.08% to 80.85%. These results indicate a faster, more efficient, and higher quality production, highlighting the effectiveness of the strategies implemented. Future trends are also highlighted, pointing to the continued potential for improvement and development of the SMT process to meet the growing demands of the electronics industry.Item O ensino da língua inglesa no curso de informática no contexto da Educação Profissional Técnica de Nível Médio (EPTNM): um olhar para o currículo integrado(2025-03-31) Bezerra, Cleber de Souza; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6100146230873494; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6100146230873494; Lima, Maria Francisca Morais de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5134533993186051; Magalhães Netto, José Francisco de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3958238119785924This research investigates the implementation of the integrated curriculum in the Integrated High School with Technical Education at the Federal Institute of Amazonas (IFAM), with an emphasis on the curricular integration of the English Language in the Information Technology technical course. The study stems from the observation of curricular fragmentation and educational duality between English Language and technical subjects, evidenced throughout the Professional and Technological Education Graduate Program (ProfEPT). Considering the importance of English in the technology field and the need for an omnilateral education, the research analyzes how an instructional material can contribute to the implementation of the integrated curriculum. The methodological approach adopted is qualitative, based on Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA), as proposed by Moraes and Galiazzi (2011), following three stages: 1) unitization, 2) categorization, and 3) metatext production. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews with seven English teachers from IFAM and the analysis of Course Pedagogical Project (PPC). DTA enabled the construction of analytical categories that revealed structural challenges such as the lack of specific training for teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP), the absence of curricular integration, and the undervaluation of the English Language discipline within the context of Professional and Technological Education (PTE). Furthermore, it was found that curricular fragmentation and the lack of interdisciplinary approaches hinder the potential of English language teaching as a support tool for students’ technical education. In response to these challenges, the Practical Guide to English for Specific Purposes: Guidelines and Suggestions for Teachers of the Information Technology Course in Integrated High School was developed, featuring methodological proposals, pedagogical strategies, and integrative activities to strengthen the connection between the English Language and the technical components of the course. The study concludes that the implementation of the integrated curriculum requires continuous teacher training, student needs analysis, and active methodologies that foster the connection between English content and the specific demands of the Information Technology technical course. This instructional material is expected to contribute to overcoming educational duality and to the development of an integrated and contextualized teaching approach in Professional and Technological Education.Item Estação meteorológica portátil com cultura maker interdisciplinar para ensino de física e programação de computadores(2021-03-02) Melo, Larissa Alencar de; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Souza, Daniel F. de; Fernandes, Priscila SilvaIt is known that teaching physics can be considered difficult due to so many calculations, graphs and numbers. Often, the ability to associate formulas and theoretical content with everyday life does not happen clearly for students. In addition, teaching Computer Programming is also difficult for students, as they often lack the skills to understand the logical steps for solving problems using a computer. Therefore, the objective of the project presented in this article is to facilitate the teaching of Physics through the maker culture, in the do-it-yourself (DIY) process. As a case study to apply the maker culture to the teaching of Physics and Computer Programming, we created a portable meteorological station with Arduino, a low cost free hardware, so that students could relate Thermodynamics to Computer Programming, in this way seeking to improve the way of reasoning and visibility with the help of theoretical Physics, maker culture and everyday life. In the construction of this meteorological station, it was possible to study and visualize the state variables of Thermodynamics using Arduino as a monitoring platform. In our work, we were initially going to perform experiments in person, but we had to apply remote experiments due to the covid-19 pandemic. In this experiment, 20 second-year High School students of a technical course in Electronics participated from a science and technology institution in Brazil. All students were subjected to an initial test regarding concepts of Thermodynamics and Computer Programming, in order to obtain the initial diagnosis of these students. Then, all the students attended an online lesson from the Physics teacher and finally, the students were divided, through a draw, into 2 groups: the group that participated in the remote maker experiments (10 students) and the group that did not participate (10 students). We applied a final test to the whole class, in order to obtain the levels of expertise of the class regarding the concepts of Thermodynamics and Computer Programming. The results obtained, the comparison between the groups that participated and did not participate in the remote maker activities, the report of these remote experiences and the adjustments made to reach the largest possible number of students show the feasibility of the proposal, in addition to reported challenges and future directions.Item Estratégias de ensino na educação profissional e tecnológica: o uso da cultura maker no programa Educa+ Amazonas(2023-04-27) Maia, Adriana Gama do Nascimento; Queiroz Neto, José Pinheiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8055796489225138; Queiroz Neto, José Pinheiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8055796489225138; Passos, Marize Lyra Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4004424177280845; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6100146230873494In the modality of Vocational Education Training (VET), teaching strategies involve methodologies, techniques and active practices planned and implemented in formal and informal learning environments in order to access, produce and express the student's knowledge. Considering that this study focuses on teaching resources and methodological proposals for the comprehensive transformation of the student, the overall objective of this research was to enhance the use of the maker culture in vocational and technological education through the Educa+ Amazonas Program, in order to make classes more practical, dynamic and interactive for the absorption of the content covered. Terms such as experimentation, curiosity, stimuli and research are fundamental for the development of critical thinking in students, who learn through their own experiences. The theoretical contribution is anchored in the theory of experimentation and research of DEWEY (2001), in the active methodologies present in the assumptions of MORAN (2019) and the formative process focused on the work of SAVIANI (1995). For this, it was chosen the case study in research of applied nature, with quali-quantitative approach due to the complementation given that enriched the analysis and final discussions. The data collection was done through semi-structured questionnaires applied to teachers and students of the technical courses of Computer Network and Electronics of the Benjamin Constant unit (IBC) of the Technological Education Center of Amazonas (Cetam). The results presented by the research showed the need for a manual with teaching strategies for the use of maker culture, culminating in the preparation of a guide as an Educational Product of the Postgraduate Programme in Vocational Education and Training entitled "Maker Culture: a teaching strategy in strengthening the teaching work in VET". Thus, the educational use of maker culture can become an important methodology in human and integral training of students.Item Guia didático Robot Solution: a construção de projetos robóticos para o desenvolvimento de competências do pensamento computacional(2023-12-19) Marinho, Deyse dos Santos; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner daItem Guia prático de inglês para fins específicos: orientações e sugestões para professores do curso de informática do ensino médio integrado(2025-03-31) Bezerra, Cleber de Souza; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner daItem Impressão 3D como recurso para o ensino e aprendizagem de citologia(2022-05-13) Cruz, Denys Santos da; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6100146230873494; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6100146230873494; Paes, Lucilene da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0653747630550456; Magalhães Netto, José Francisco de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3958238119785924The use of digital teaching instruments or materials in schools has always aroused interest and curiosity in most students, however, we know that in some school environments there is a lack of material resources that make it difficult to carry out experimental activities. To solve this problem, teachers improvise materials in order to apply a practical class. In this context of absence of material, 3D printing technology makes a relevant contribution to minimize it, because it is a resource that allows the printing of pedagogical materials, which can help the teaching of different areas, where the contents are still abstractly presented, like cells that are invisible to the naked eye. In addition, 3D printing contributes to the construction of concrete materials in a threedimensional format that were previously only accessible virtually, leaving the classes very abstract for the student, such as cells that are invisible to the naked eye. However, this technology is still not widely used by teachers, perhaps due to the lack of adequate preparation for them. Therefore, this research aimed to contribute to the teaching of Biology, for the subarea of Cytology, with a virtual 3D printing course. The approach of this research was qualitative and quantitative and the method was exploratory research. The research subjects are high school biology teachers and students from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas — Manaus Industrial District Campus (IFAM/CMDI). For data collection, digital questionnaires were used, made available through a link on the Google form, containing open and closed questions, for further analysis and interpretation of the data. Finally, this research, in addition to contributing to the production of a virtual course on how to use the 3D printer to improve learning in Cytology classes, also contains: a digital repository of cell files for printing and a project based on the active methodology of learning in a project involving 3D Printing and Cytology, to be applied with students. The course is available on the digital learning platform Moodle, belonging to IFAM.Item Inteligência artificial aplicada em semáforo inteligente(2024-08-21) Vale, Ládson Danley Aguiar; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dos; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Silva, Daniel Nascimento eItem Manutenção e instalação de computadores: uma proposta de ensino e aprendizagem na perspectiva da educação indígena(2021-12-16) Andrade, Bruno da Silva; Coelho, Iandra Maria Weirich da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4062149157525849; Coelho, Iandra Maria Weirich da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4062149157525849; Mourão, Andreza Bastos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1186847209842804; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6100146230873494This research presents a proposal for teaching and learning content related to the maintenance and installation of computers. It is aimed especially at helping students of technical courses in computer science in an indigenous context. It aims to enhance the development of skills so that students can diagnose problems, identify possible causes, and propose solutions. It was developed using the active methodology of Problem-Based Learning, aided by a learning guide, visual and digital resources, and an evaluative rubric. The proposal was validated by an Ad hoc committee, composed of professionals in the areas of design, computing, and speakers of the Nheengatu indigenous language, who evaluated the proposal for its applicability. The analysis was performed using a Likert scale and the content analysis method for qualitative analysis. In the analysis process, the items evaluated refer to the design (Infographics, Typography, Color palette and Visual elements); informatics (applicability of the proposal through the learning scripts, learning outcomes, content covered, tasks and evaluation, being arranged as to the clarity and pertinence of the item) and the indigenous language (writing and visual elements). As for the results, the Design category showed more variance, with the infographics and typography elements being the main aspects to be adjusted in the proposal. The Computer category involved adjustments for spelling, textual changes, and elaboration of questions that stimulate the student to understand and interpret the activities. The Indigenous Language category, on the other hand, took into account mainly the arrangement of words in a concise manner. Through this research it was generated an educational product called: Maintenance and Installation of Computers in an Indigenous Perspective: didactic guide for teachers", which has as its main focus to help teachers in the pedagogical performance in computer maintenance disciplines, mainly in an indigenous teaching and learning context, aiming to contribute so that students can diagnose problems, their possible causes and develop solutions.Item Máquina de cura para impressoras SLA com o uso de manufatura aditiva(2022-12-15) Nunes, João Caio Souza; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0682962508867807; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0682962508867807; Fernandes, Priscila Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6274094162838026; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5998752909180697Additive Manufacturing entered the market both in the industrial and residential areas very quickly due to its various applications, many of the works that involve this technology, use it as a means to produce parts for a larger project, or in another area, but when we are talking about additive manufacturing using SLA technology, the cost is already a little higher due to the price of the printers themselves, and for the post printing work, there is a process called "Cura" which consists of exposing the object that was printed to a source of ultraviolet light that, when it comes into contact with the surface of the piece, changes its aesthetic and physical aspects, there are machines that carry out this type of process on the market, but they have a high acquisition cost. Faced with this situation, the objective of this work is to develop a prototype of a machine that performs this curing process effectively, and that is made of low-cost electronic equipment and all of its mechanical parts are made only with the use of additive manufacturing. so that its production cost is affordable. Since its great differential will be that all its activation will be done remotely through a Web application, which works on any mobile device regardless of its operating system, the prototype was subjected to several tests for its final validation, the purpose of this project is that it can be inserted in the maker space of the federal institute of amazonas (IFAM) due to its low cost and great effectiveness in the area of additive manufacturing, and that it can arouse the curiosity of the institution's students for the maker culture.Item Melhoria da qualidade aplicado a um processo de usinagem em uma fábrica do polo de duas rodas(2021-06-06) Araúijo, Lucas Lima de; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Pereira, Micila Sumaria Medeiros; Fernandes, Priscila SilvaIn recent years, machining technology has undergone profound changes, the main objective of which is to increase productivity and guarantee quality. This is achieved through the use of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to automate the process. The present work has the general objective of investigating proposals for the improvement of quality in a given integrated manufacturing process (machining). The survey was conducted at a company in the motorcycle production industry located in Manaus. The classification as to the means addresses, case study, bibliographic, documentary. The classification as to the ends consists of research, exploratory, descriptive, explanatory, qualitative, quantitative. The quality tools will be applied in order to regulate the frequencies of non-conformities, mitigating them from highest to lowest, making it possible to anticipate the causes and effects. To develop the solution proposal, the sector was widely observed, where a comparative analysis of the company's quality indicators was carried out with regard to the Machining sector during the 12-month period. the present analysis of causes was built from this tool, identifying non conformities that were found in the analysis of the current situation and I verified how these non-conformities found in the CNC machine and tools directly influenced the occurrence of the work problem. In the project, the fixation of the entire tooling set was taken into consideration to increase the radial rigidity and thus avoid unwanted vibrations. Increase tool life through efficient lubrication. N the cost of unusable parts, the goal of the headstock's production area was to be spent per month: R $ 25,000, were being spent / month before the improvement project, R $ 62,524.00 and after the project was implemented, expenses R $ 29,719.20, a reduction of R $ 35,804.80 in unused parts, in just 1 month, in addition to the other evidenced gains. In short, the application of the theory and concepts of authors in everyday organizational phenomena and the absorption of knowledge not only from theoretical content, but also through field analysis, to the company, the opportunity for improvement through accessible practices and low cost and provides real benefits to the organization.Item Monitoramento das instalações de ar condicionado no interior das salas de aula do IFAM(2021-07-16) Penha, Elton Silveira da; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Alves, Fernanda da Silva; Silva, Nivaldo Rodrigues eMonitoring air conditioning equipment is an important factor in several types of institutions, since it is necessary to acclimatize spaces with little noise and without risk of contamination. Based on this context, this work aimed to analyze the air conditioning installations inside the IFAM classrooms, then proposing a maintenance plan. The basic purpose of this monitoring is to monitor the performance of the devices through measurements of temperature, humidity and noise and identify those devices that present failures or difficulties in operation, thus allowing a more effective maintenance intervention. Based on the data collected, it can be identified that the analyzed air conditioners have an inadequate operation, since the room temperatures are above the determined in the device. In addition, the noise level is above that specified by NBR 10152, affecting not only the hearing of students and teachers, but also harming the class. Humidity values are also inadequate, indicating that the devices need a maintenance plan. Therefore, three lines of maintenance were proposed to prevent these problems. These maintenance are monthly, semi-annual and annual, considering the use of the campus maintenance team.Item Monitoramento remoto por meio de um radar baseado em Arduino(2021-05-12) Silva, Carlos Douglas André e; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Pereira, Micila Sumaria Medeiros; Fernandes, Priscila SilvaAutomation exists in our daily lives, not only because of its practicality or status, but also related to the reduction in the consumption of water and energy resources, and the safety and comfort that users bring to users through the use of interconnected environments. Transformations in health, economics and communication are examples of these changes and the area of education is one of the fields that suffers the most positive influences from the use of technology. Thus, this work presents the development of a low-cost educational platform based on the bar and ball system for teaching the discipline of control of dynamic systems to be allocated in the control laboratory of the Federal Institute of Amazonas (IFAM), where students can study the performance of dynamic systems and prove concepts seen in the classroom, avoiding the abstraction caused by classroom theory. It is well known that the teaching of engineering based exclusively on speeches passes on a very incomplete and not very instigating idea, which generates disapproval and disinterest on the part of the students. Currently, there is no educational platform at the Federal Institute of Amazonas aimed at teaching the control discipline as developed in this work. Therefore, an educational platform was developed to be used exclusively by IFAM teachers and students, filling the lack of a technology that combines the theory seen in classrooms and operational practice. The lack of this type of tool, in a technology teaching site, is a flaw that must be remedied in order to improve the campus teaching process and instigate research to be carried out in the area that highlight the IFAM’s name. Therefore, a modeling of the bar and ball system, bibliographic review of the PID controller with implementation through the Arduino platform, development of a graphical interface to control the bar and ball plant through the software in Labview, in addition to the simulation and analysis of the plant in Matlab software in order to graphically present the system performance and the possible gains of the controller through the Matlab control toolbox and systems.Item Princípios logísticos de distribuição física de artefatos tecnológicos como melhoria contínua no ambiente escolar: um estudo no IFAM-CMDI(2020-10-27) Pereira Filho, Fernando Luiz das Neves; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Frota, Vitor Bremgartner da; Silva, Giskele Luz Rafael e; Fernandes, Priscila SilvaOur research started from a domestic demand, we identified along the graduation in logistics, a bottleneck in the transit and transportation of artifacts technology, projectors and digital whiteboards, negatively and continuously affecting the course load and the clear reality of the facts, the entire educational process.
