However, despite the growing incorporation of technology in various contexts and increasingly in everyday life, a significant portion of the population still views technological intervention with reservations. In the medical field, it is no different; there is concern about the replacement of healthcare professionals by intelligent machines. Those who think so are mistaken; currently, AI is already involved in various aspects, such as disease prognosis, image understanding, interconnection of prescription databases, among others, and yet there is still a need for human presence. However, such advances do not spread uniformly; there will still be many gaps in the democratization of the application of this resource, whether due to a lack of technology, training, or even distances. In the latter case, it is more common in Brazil, which has continental extensions. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in the last decade, two of the four leading causes of death in the world are related to respiratory diseases. In Brazil, according to the Ministry of Health, in the first nine months of 2022, there were more than 40,000 deaths from pneumonia alone. This work aims to compare machine learning algorithm models to present the pros and cons of each. Neural networks were used to check a dataset of images for training, validation, and testing of models with the purpose of recognizing and diagnosing cases of pneumonia through only X-ray examinations.Item Detecção de defeitos em placas de circuito impresso aplicando visão computacional(2023-02-17) Monteiro, Lucas Paiva; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dos; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dos; Costa, Jaidson Brandão da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4553321582341998; Compto, Gabriel Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5432787843953143This work consists of the development of a vision system capable of identifying faults in printed circuit boards. These risks can be low or even risks considered very high. Skydiving, for example, is considered a high-risk sport that is susceptible to interference from weather conditions. Skydiving is a sport that promotes sensations of pleasure as is the case with skydiving. Therefore, this project intends to contribute, through a device, to a better analysis and interpretation of climate changes that occur during the practice of skydiving, before and during the jump. Then, the construction of a control device through the Arduino platform was carried out, integrated to the internet in real time to obtain data and weather conditions. For bibliographic search purposes, the Google Scholar tracker and the electronic addresses of the Brazilian Parachuting Confederation (CBPq) were used as a tool, to complement this work with more information. Based on research and studies carried out, it was found that currently there is no rule or devices used in skydiving schools to help skydiving athletes to recognize the best conditions for jumping. It is pertinent to emphasize the lack of studies and the difficulty encountered in carrying out experimental research within skydiving. Finally, it can be said that a greater participation of professionals in the areas of technology is necessary, aiming at the development and growth of the sport.Item Implementação do método de regressão logística na classificação de exames por espectrometria de massa quanto à presença de câncer do ovário(2022-04-07) Neves, João Paulo Santa Rita; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dos; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dosThis work aims to implement the logistic regression method, a simple 01 single-layer Artificial Neural Network, to classify the results of mass spectrometry exams in 02 diagnosis classes: with or without ovarian cancer. Faced with this situation, the objective of this work is to develop a prototype of a machine that performs this curing process effectively, and that is made of low-cost electronic equipment and all of its mechanical parts are made only with the use of additive manufacturing. so that its production cost is affordable. Since its great differential will be that all its activation will be done remotely through a Web application, which works on any mobile device regardless of its operating system, the prototype was subjected to several tests for its final validation, the purpose of this project is that it can be inserted in the maker space of the federal institute of amazonas (IFAM) due to its low cost and great effectiveness in the area of additive manufacturing, and that it can arouse the curiosity of the institution's students for the maker culture.Item Otimização de um sistema de manufatura do processo de soldagem por resistência robotizada para redução de custo com eletrodo(2024-09-18) Oliveira, Ricardo Flores de; Santos, Renan Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6930748017205035; Santos, Renan Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6930748017205035; Ribeiro, Laura Michaella Batista; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8632002394782219; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5998752909180697Companies in general, especially metallurgical companies spread throughout Brazil, are increasingly seeking, with the help of technology, to have greater competitiveness in the market. And this directly implies improvement work aimed at eliminating waste, increasing profit and maintaining the quality that the market expects. That said, the present work shows that even processes that have been established for a long time can be improved to the point of being on par with current generation equipment. using low-cost resources, already available, and critical analysis of process improvement by those involved. This work describes the improvement in a robotic spot-welding process in which only 3% of the electrode was used, that is, only 0.3 mm of 9mm of the consumables (electrode CT – 309 (bullet). The aim of the improvement is to change the robot's manual adjustment system to an autonomous adjustment system, thus ensuring the conscious use of its consumables. Petri nets were used to model the system and from this, a prototype was proposed using the ladder language and instruction list as programming. At the end, the metrics of the processes before and after optimization are compared. If before we used 3% of the electrode, after the improvement we achieved the result of 67% use of the electrode, that is, we started to use 6mm of the electrode, keeping only the final 3mm as a safety margin with reference to the manufacturer's recommendation.Item Prevenção contra deepfakes: desenvolvimento de um sistema de reconhecimento facial para diferenciar rostos humanos de rostos gerados por IA(2024-03-19) Silva, Romão Charles Silva e; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5998752909180697; Santos, Alyson de Jesus dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5998752909180697; Martins, Gilbert Breves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4932200790121123; Rodrigues, Marlos André Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0682962508867807This work aims to develop a system based on machine learning that differentiates images of people generated by artificial intelligence from real people, a capability that can be very useful for identifying scams that use generated images. For that propose, this work investigates the application of the type-2 fuzzy control’s technique in general anesthesia. Firstly, a literature review was made for the work, studying type-1 and interval type-2 fuzzy controllers and their application on general anesthesia to compose case study. After this study, a pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic mathematical model of the effect of the drugs Atracurium and Isoflurane in the human body was implemented. To design the Type-1 and interval type-2 fuzzy controllers, the Fuzzy Logic Toolbox was used in the MATLAB environment, and then, anesthesia control simulations were made on MATLAB starting from a mathematical model. At the same time, a small-scale, low-cost prototype was built to represent the real anesthesia control system. Simulation results showed type-2 fuzzy controllers’ superiority against type-1 with the same number of inputs, however it was possible to see that the bigger number of inputs were beneficial for type-2 control as well as type-1. And finally, a comparative analysis was made, thus the conclusion was that type-2 fuzzy logic is a good alternative to control multivariable and nonlinear systems.
