Know the reasons for the dropout of students in higher courses in mathematics and physics from the Federal Institute of Amazonas. Producing a theoretical framework that addresses issues such as the historical and contemporary context of higher education, as well as focus on developing a system for identification and analysis of student output of conditioning factors in higher level courses mentioned. The work employ as approach, qualitative, as such was the ideal choice to understand the nature of a social phenomenon, studied in this work with the intention of building an interpretive result, defining a problem, with bases in relations found, and also the research used descriptive and exploratory methodological perspective, in trying to understand the reality of the issue in order to understand why the evasion. To illustrate the application of the technique, we employed data from all students entering higher education in mathematics and Amazonas Federal Institute Physics - IFAM in the 2009 period up to 2012. The results indicate some factors that would have adversely influenced the avoidance of phenomena these students.Item Sentidos atribuídos aos saberes pedagógicos na prática docente e formação de professores de ciências em Manaus(2017-02-14) Lopes, Rodrigo Rodrigues de Figueiredo; Anic, Cinara Calvi; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1702387634067240; Anic, Cinara Calvi; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1702387634067240; Costa, Kátia Maria Guimarães; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4801914492093251The present study aims to understand the perceptions of Basic Education teachers regarding the importance of the pedagogical knowledge necessary for the teaching activity. We understand that the teacher as a professional has a set of heterogeneous, temporal, situational teacher knowledge and marked by interaction with other human beings, such as pedagogical, disciplinary, curricular and experiential knowledge. The methodological trajectory occurred through qualitative research, since it was the most appropriate approach to work with data that are not easily quantified, such as values, beliefs, experiences and conceptions of teachers. The methodological tool for data collection was the semi-structured interview, since this type allows a freer dialogue with the collaborators, enabling the capture of more information riches. The research collaborators were 5 Basic Education teachers. Three professors taught in the same school, professors of Biology, Physics and a professor of Chemistry, while the other teachers are from two different schools and both teach Biology. The teachers' reports were collected through a voice recorder in order to preserve their speeches as much as possible, then we transcribed the reports and submitted them to the analysis based on the data analysis spiral and the interpretative- Comprehensive. At the end of the research, we understand that although for some teachers it is a difficult task to articulate certain teaching knowledge, such as pedagogical and disciplinary, for other teachers the influence of knowledge was crucial for the development of practices and conceptions differentiated in the classroom.Item Avaliação sobre o lixo: alternativas para compreensão do uso e desuso(2019-12-06) Pinto, Sofia Simões; Paes, Lucilene da Silva; Paes, Lucilene da Silva; Farias, Maristela Lima de; Oliveira, Adriano Teixeira deThis work aimed to understand the conceptions of the students of the Federal Institute of Education Science and Technology (IFAM) regarding the destination of waste, in order to provide actions that raise awareness of the preservation and protection of natural resources in society. To this end, questionnaires were applied in a collection action at Ponta Negra beach and an online questionnaire with IFAM students. The results showed that although they are aware of the impacts caused by improper waste disposal, students also discard some materials incorrectly, such as electronic waste. Thus environmental education is the way for each individual to change habits by assuming new attitudes that lead to the reduction of environmental degradation and promote the conservation and improvement of quality of life in harmony with natural resources.Item A importância da reciclagem e da coleta seletiva no contexto escolar, como contribuição na preservação do meio ambiente(2019-12-05) Cardoso, Marciele dos Santos; Enriconi, Adriana; Enriconi, Adriana; Paes, Lucilene da Silva; Rosas, SimoneCurrently, the world has many problems related to pollution, one of them is the inadequate waste disposal, which ends up generating many problems for society, the environment, the fauna and the flora. For this reason, a reflection on the strategies used in classroom science teaching with regard to materials recycling is important, as today’s students will be the future of society and need to have a more environmental awareness so that take better care of the planet. Thus, this research had as its main objective to sensitize the students of the 6th grade about the waste produced by them, and to transform this waste into products such as toys and handicrafts. It was held at the Paula Ângela Francinetti State school, located in the south of Manaus – AM. Therefore, a methodology of this study was based on the theoretical exposition classes, involving issues inherent to the theme, then groups were created for making crafts and toys, from recyclable materials that were previously wasted in everyday life for use presented in the workshop. Initially, we applied a previous questionnaire about student’s knowledge about basic questions: what is garbage? What is selective collection? Later it took place in a laboratory in which students exposed their confections and commented on the respect of which materials were reused and how important this process was. At the end of the workshop, a questionnaire is applied with questions on all subjects covered in the lectures, also conducted a qualitative assessment in which you should analyze the ideas of students after the teaching-learning process on the developed theme. This study indicated results that reaffirm the effectiveness of theoretical and practical exposition in the process of teaching and learning in science, highlighting the form, which is the importance of using practices in science education.Item A percepção de estudantes do ensino fundamental sobre a fauna silvestre amazônica(2019-12-05) Teixeira, Luís Gabriel Leite; Anic, Cinara Calvi; Anic, Cinara Calvi; Paes, Lucilene da Silva; Oliveira, Adriano Teixeira deItem História e cultura indígena no currículo escolar: direito à voz e à verdade(2019-06-19) Silva, Jaqueline Sampaio da; Silva, Janari Rui Negreiros da; Silva, Janari Rui Negreiros da; Vale, Adriana Carla Oliveira de Morais; Souza, Heliamara Paixão deWritten under the title "Indigenous History and Culture in the School Curriculum: Right to Voice and Truth", this paper, in general, aimed to investigate how and if the indigenous theme was addressed in the schools where stages I, II, III and IV, during the classes of Sciences and Biology from a simple interview to the school-field teachers. It was tried to discuss the possibilities and challenges to develop the indigenous theme in an up-to-date way for historical repair purposes in relation to the original peoples - mistakenly known from a Eurocentric point of view. Teachers' education was discussed, Law 11.645 / 08, interpretations of the law, and lastly, updated data on indigenous peoples were presented, their struggles and violence lived daily, however unknown mainly by a large part of the Brazilian population. Of qualitative character, the procedures used in the elaboration of the work were bibliographical research, analysis of documents, videos and virtual pages that presented the original peoples in a verisimilar, contemporary way, becoming a space of struggle, voice and strengthening so that the native counted his history according to his memory and truth, deconstructing paradigms left by the colonizer, becoming the author of his own image and history. The research is relevant mainly because it promotes the confrontation of two indigenous figures: the romanticized, the village, the protector, living in symbiosis with the militant indigenous x nature, who lives in the village, or city, who fights for respect to culture, and especially to existence, has been denied since the arrival of the invaders, romantically known as the discoverers of Brazil.Item A relação entre alimentação e produção de resíduos sólidos numa perspectiva de educação ambiental para o ensino fundamental(2019-12-06) Santos, Giovanna Gabrielle Oliveira dos; Pinto, Elson Antonio Sadalla; Pinto, Elson Antonio Sadalla; Souza, Heliamara Paixão de; Paes, Lucilene da SilvaIn recent years there has been a growing concern with the theme of solid waste generation, being recognized as a significant social problem with high environmental and economic impact, so conscious consumption appears to present a way of life that values environmental responsibility, which observes the impacts that a product can have on the environment. The aim of this paper was to present a study about the conceptions of the elementary school students of a public school in Manaus regarding the relation between food versus solid waste production. To this end, a bibliographic and documentary survey was conducted on the themes: legislation, sustainability, conscious consumption, solid waste and food. The present work sought to contribute to a state school in the public system of Manaus, because although it operates in an area of educational services, which operates at the regional level, the school does not have a teaching directed to solid waste and eating habits, duly elaborated and implemented, as they are presented as transversal themes.Item O livro-jogo como recurso didático para o ensino de biologia: uma proposta para a temática malária(2019-12-03) Pereira, Ellen Bruna Mafra; Lira, Wallace; Lira, Wallace; Vale, Adriana Carla Oliveira de Morais; Enriconi, AdrianaMalaria is one the diseases that changed the course of History the most, with its first appearance dating 3.000 b.C. and prevailing to this day, mainly in tropical areas of the planet. In Brazil, one of the area's most affected by the disease is the Amazonas state, that shows growing malariometric indicators and signals a need for interventional actions to control the disease. In this perspective, the school system shelters a space to promote health, in biology classes, by transmitting information and contributing to the fight against malaria. Therefore, this work presents a gamebook proposition, with malaria os its theme, that may be used as a didactic device in the teaching of biology. The research is based on a quantitative-qualitative methodology on a concomitant triangulation strategy, which had the participation of 9 students majoring in biological sciences and 24 biology teachers from the Amazonas state. It has been verified that the gamebook presented positive results in its evaluation, in addition to providing subsidies to its improvement and for future educational researches.
