The research was carried out in four classes, three in the second year and one in the third year of the high school, at the Sérgio Mendonça de Aquino State School, located in the rural area of the village of Novo Remanso, in the municipality of Itacoatiara. The main objective was to awaken students’ interest in understanding how GPS works, a technology so present in everyday life. In order to achieve this objective, various teaching resources were used, such as videos, questionnaires and practical activities, following the steps recommended by the National Professional Master’s Degree in Physics Teaching (MNPEF). Throughout the application of the educational product and the production of this dissertation, many learning moments were found and, as a result, the expected success was achieved. The students’ interest in understanding how GPS works was awakened and they were able to see the applicability of this technology in their daily lives. In this context, Ausubel’s Meaningful Learning approach and the model proposed by Moreira proved to be extremely effective in the teaching and learning process, by promoting the connection of students’ prior knowledge with the content covered and relating this content to everyday situations. The didactic sequence based on meaningful learning allowed a more contextualized and meaningful approach to the topic, favoring students’ understanding and contributing to their engagement in the study of Modern Physics. Based on the results obtained, it is hoped that this work can serve as a reference and inspiration for other educators who wish to teach GPS more effectively, arousing students’ interest and curiosity, as well as promoting more meaningful learning.Item Construção de uma unidade de ensino potencialmente significativa (UEPS) para o estudo das transformações gasosas no novo ensino médio(2024-12-06) Lima, Diego Alvino; Padilha, Igor Tavares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4605895860650284; Padilha, Igor Tavares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4605895860650284; Guilherme, Adriano Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9119402956173089; Borges, Denilson da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7149037835888302The purpose of this work is to build a potentially significant teaching unit (UEPS), through a didactic sequence for teaching gaseous transformations, aimed at basic education students in the public network of the state of Amazonas, included in the life project discipline. of the new high school. The aim is to identify evidence of meaningful and critical learning. From this perspective, problematizing how Physics has been taught in Basic Education to the detriment of everyday practical relationships, the question arises: can these relationships really be inserted and experienced in schools with the aim of obtaining potentially significant learning? What are the difficulties encountered by Basic Education teachers in bringing day-to-day practices into the classroom? How can using a pressure cooker contribute to teaching Physics? With the purpose of adding the school routine to the historical, social and economic daily life, in which we are inserted today, schools, as proposed by the new National Curricular Guidelines for Basic Education and the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education – Law 9,394 /96 – aim to prepare students for the world of work, science and technology. Therefore, we use the pressure cooker, inserted in a didactic sequence, contributing to a problem situation, as it is a fascinating example of how physical principles can be applied in a practical and innovative way in cooking. Its role in accelerating the cooking process, saving energy and preserving food nutrients makes it a valuable tool in the contemporary kitchen. However, it is crucial to understand the underlying physical principles and follow recommended safety practices to fully enjoy the benefits of the pressure cooker. In this way, we worked with proposals for collaborative activities to resolve problem situations, as well as appropriating the theoretical framework of Ausubel's Theory of Meaningful Learning articulated with Moreira's critical meaningful learning.Item Supercondutividade: uma sequência didática para introdução do tema no ensino médio e a percepção dos professores do município de Tabatinga - AM(2024-10-08) Rocha, Reinaldo Carneiro; Silva, Márcio Gomes da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2363782297790054; Silva, Márcio Gomes da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2363782297790054; Fonseca, Thiago Lobo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5010081570733897; Sousa, José Ricardo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3871066069541626Superconductivity is the phenomenon characterized by zero electrical resistance and the expulsion of magnetic fields that occurs in certain materials when they are below a certain temperature. The phenomenon was discovered by the German physicist Heike Kamerlingh Onnes on April 8, 1911, in Leiden. The study of superconductors is an area in constant evolution and discovery. As this is a very current and exciting topic, it is necessary to introduce concepts on the subject. This work aims to create an educational product through a didactic sequence for teaching superconductivity to students in the final years of regular high school. This study also aimed to address and relate the concept of superconductivity to other fundamental concepts of electrodynamics; to apply the concept of superconductivity in the context of Ohm's Law, making them accessible and understandable to students during their lessons; and to arouse students' interest and curiosity in science and physics. The methodology adopted involved qualitative and descriptive bibliographical research, with a review covering various works that address theoretical concepts of superconductivity. Questionnaires containing open and closed questions were used to collect data from the participants, as well as activities and assessments designed to verify learning. David Ausubel's theory of meaningful learning underpins the work. The data collected was subjected to descriptive statistical analysis, showing a positive and decisive knowledge of the concepts of superconductivity and its phenomena. The application of these concepts in an accessible and comprehensive way proved satisfactory, establishing links between the students' previous knowledge and the new concepts. Considering that the implementation of this research through a didactic sequence was satisfactorily accepted by 82% of the students involved in the study, this work contributes to the improvement of Modern Physics teaching, emphasizing the importance of contextualization and practical applicability of concepts in the teaching-learning process.Item Cinemática relativística: construção de uma UEPS para o novo ensino médio por um olhar histórico e com o uso de simuladores(2024-10-22) Castro, Emerson Bruno Oliveira; Sousa, José Ricardo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3871066069541626; Sousa, José Ricardo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3871066069541626; Mota, Deniz dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3632354915141735; Silva , Márcio Gomes da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2363782297790054The dissertation investigates the teaching of Relativistic Kinematics in high school, highlighting its historical importance and current relevance, particularly in the context of the New High School Curriculum and the BNCC. Vygotsky's theory, which values social interaction and cultural mediation, and Ausubel's theory of meaningful learning, which prioritizes integrating new knowledge with existing concepts, underpin the methodology. The dissertation explores the use of continuous assessments and feedback to adapt teaching to students' individual needs, promoting critical and meaningful learning in the study of Special Relativity and integrating Modern Physics content.Item Teoria da relatividade restrita de Einstein para alunos do ensino médio utilizando filmes de ficção científica como recurso didático(2024-10-08) Mendes, Raimundo Wagner Pereira; Silva, Márcio Gomes da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2363782297790054; Silva, Márcio Gomes da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2363782297790054; Rivera, Jose Anglada; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5724564590431920; Nascimento, Denise Andrade do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3111593924862886The theory o of restricted relativity, developed by physicist Albert Einstein, considers that time and space are intrinsically related. According to the theory of special relativity, at speeds close to that of light, time and space become relative. The purpose of this work is to use a teaching strategy that facilitates the understanding of these concepts through a didactic sequence using entertainment as a facilitating and meaningful action with the presentation of science fiction films, Interstellar (2014) and Planet of the Apes (1968), acclaimed by film critics, which clearly present the foundations of Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity. The educational product was applied to a 2nd grade high school class at a state public school in the city of Manaus-AM. Having Ausubel's significant learning as its theoretical basis, the film was shown in line with the presentation of Einstein's postulates and some concepts from the Special Theory of Relativity so that the confrontation between common sense and the study of science could take place, so that students could achieve realize the importance of building physical knowledge as a significant part of the learning process. The data collected was analyzed qualitatively and, as an educational product, we present a text to support teachers who wish to use films with an investigative approach to teaching scientific concepts.Item A construção de uma UEPS para o ensino do efeito DOPPLER relativístico com elementos contextuais da cosmologia(2023-12-11) Barbosa, Verônica Tavares; Adão Neto, Minos Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6102062332483035; Silva, Lúcio Fábio Pereira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8596952901602143; Silva, Lúcio Fábio Pereira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8596952901602143; Santos, José Jamilton Rodrigues dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5465012466654473; Padilha, Igor Tavares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4605895860650284This dissertation discusses the results of the construction and implementation of a Potentially Significant Teaching Unit based on David Ausubel’s Theory of Meaningful Learning. Its intention is to classify itself as potentially significant material for teaching the relativistic Doppler effect with contextual elements of Cosmology to third-year high school students. Thinking about the problems inherent in the didactic transposition of this theme to basic education, we sought to investigate which pedagogical strategies could help students in the construction of meaningful learning. To this end, the UEPS was organized in accordance with the sequence of steps established by Moreira (2011), and incorporated into its structure are digital educational objects and the active Peer Instruction methodology. It is noteworthy that these strategies present themselves as alternatives to streamline expository classes and encourage active and collaborative participation by students. Regarding the characterization of the research, it is bibliographic in nature, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, and its objectives are exploratory-descriptive in nature. The UEPS results were analyzed in light of Bloom’s revised Taxonomy, revealing encouraging signs of acquisition, assimilation and construction of meaningful learningItem Modelagem e jogos avaliativos como ferramentas para o aprendizado do efeito fotoelétrico em situações do cotidiano dos alunos(2024-03-09) Oliveira, Soetânia Santos de; Gil, Antonio Xavier; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5057484902608817; Gil, Antonio Xavier; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5057484902608817; Paixão, Caroline Mendonça Araujo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9513172453932763; Salmon, Octávio Daniel Rodriguez; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8617565470648034The main objective of this research is to analyze how the use of modeling and games can contribute to the learning of the photoelectric effect in high school in everyday situations. It brings as a scientific contribution a proposal of a Potentially Significant Teaching Unit that aims to make physics classes more dynamic and attractive to students. The research is based on David Ausubel’s significant learning, since for its effective development steps were fulfilled that involve the use of students’ previous knowledge to consolidate scientific knowledge and potentially significant didactic material. The didactic sequence was developed over four classes, in which the content was worked with the realization of simulations using the PhET platform, the exhibition of a video about EFE, and the use of educational games. Data collection was carried out in two moments, in the first and last classes, with the application of evaluative game, and the data treatment was carried out through the comparative analysis of the initial and final results obtained. This analysis revealed that there was an increase in the students’ performance after applying the didactic sequence, which can be interpreted as an effectiveness or result of significant learning. In addition, approximately 90% of students approved the methodology used. In this way, it is argued that the applied PSTU is effective to teach the Photoelectric Effect and its applications in the new high school, and as such, it is expected to contribute to improve the teaching-learning process of Physics.Item O efeito doppler de ondas eletromagnéticas a partir de sequência didática(2024-08-02) Teixeira, José Victor Bezerra; Borges, Denilson da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7149037835888302; Borges, Denilson da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7149037835888302; Picinin, Adalberto; Oliveira, Rita de Cássia Mota Teixeira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3997091837851642The search for improvements in physics teaching is intrinsically challenging and exciting, often requiring professionals to have knowledge beyond physics, as in the case of this work, which addresses the Doppler-Fizeau effect in Electromagnetic waves using Digital Technologies. Information and Communication (TDIC). Especially, when viewing the work in this field, one came across the limitation in approaching this effect for mechanical waves. Therefore, the present work consists of a Didactic Sequence (SD), guided by Ausubel's Meaningful Learning Theory (TAS), focused on electromagnetic waves. In this way, active methodologies were used, enabling the student to be the protagonist of the teaching-learning process using Arduino. Therefore, the impacts that the use of TDICs contributed to learning, especially in Modern Physics, were investigated. This SD was applied to a 3rd grade high school class for 8 days in progressive stages: (i) introduction, seeking to familiarize participants with the necessary concepts and Arduino, (ii) development, including practical programming activities with Arduino and ( iii) conclusion, which consisted of the experimental application to investigate the phenomenon studied in microwaves, which culminated in a doppler frequency signal observer, reflection speed meter and automated door simulation. Therefore, this DS exposed signs of significant learning found through questionnaires, conversation circles and continuous observation, which revealed an increase in performance. Thus, the importance of making physics teaching contextualized is clear, as it was possible to verify the connection of concepts that were previously disconnected from the student's reality, being then substantially related to technological applications, promoting comprehensive training through understanding the conceptualization, experimental and attitudinal procedures when relating critically to the environment in which it is inserted.Item Sequência didática para o ensino sobre a condução de calor(2024-07-15) Costa, Hiram Jephson Gabriel da; Adão Neto, Minos Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6102062332483035; Adão Neto, Minos Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6102062332483035; Guilherme, Adriano Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9119402956173089; Braga, Marcel Bruno Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1142247924140098The present study aims to investigate the development and implementation of a didactic sequence for teaching heat conduction, within the context of Physics teaching in Brazil. The central research question is: how can the implementation of a didactic sequence based on experiments impact the learning of heat conduction concepts? To answer this question, the study is based on Jerome Bruner's Discovery Learning Theory, which highlights the importance of students' prior knowledge in the assimilation of new concepts. The method adopted involves the creation of a didactic sequence that combines experimental activities, theoretical reflections and critical questions, aiming to actively engage students in the learning process. The research highlights the use of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and other innovative methodologies, which place the student at the center of the learning process, promoting the development of cognitive and practical skills. The conclusions of the study indicate that the didactic sequence developed was effective in promoting a deeper understanding of concepts related to heat conduction. The results show that the integration between theory and practice, through experimental activities, reinforces students' prior knowledge and motivates the exploration and understanding of physical phenomena in a more meaningful way. Furthermore, the study suggests that this approach can be applied in other contexts of Physics teaching, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning in the area.Item Sobre a luz: discreta ou contínua? Uma atividade de física moderna no ensino médio(2024-08-26) Almeida, Tiago Pereira; Borges, Denilson da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7149037835888302; Borges, Denilson da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7149037835888302; Moreira, Nilton Luis; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5288996471023574; Padilha, Igor Tavares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4605895860650284Modern physics is evident in tv shows, movies, news broadcasts, and various contemporary technologies. Nonetheless, research in physics education suggests that the school curriculum has not adapted to these advancements. Particularly concerning the topic of light, students typically only have contact with geometric optics, without exploring more current aspects of light. Given this scenario, this dissertation aims to evaluate the contributions of using experiments and computer animations to introduce and facilitate the learning of modern physics in high school. To achieve these objectives, a literature review was conducted on the use of experiments and computer animations to introduce concepts of physical optics. Subsequently, a teaching sequence was developed to address light concepts, using computer animations and experiments as didactic resources. Later, this sequence was applied in the classroom, and the contributions of the method used were evaluated, resulting in recommendations. To collect data, questionnaires, conceptual maps, and experimental activity scripts were used. The research adopted a qualitative approach and was based on the principles of meaningful learning for data analysis. This study contributes scientifically by addressing optics beyond the geometric perspective, through experiments and computer animations grounded in learning theories. The application of the teaching sequence resulted in greater motivation among students and good performance in experimental activities and scripts, indicating the construction of knowledge and evidence of meaningful learning by learners.
