Awakening students' interest in learning has become a challenge for educators. In recent years, education has gone through great positive transformations, and games have gained more and more space as a mediating instrument for teaching chemistry learning, that is, recreational activities are increasingly being used as a tool to awaken student interest content, and thus promote greater enjoyment of learning in the classroom. Therefore, in this work a game was made and applied with the aim of being a teaching tool for a high school class. For this, a qualitative research was used, in which data were carried out and surveyed through the application of questionnaires. The making and application of a game resulted in the awakening of students' interest in the chemistry discipline and also led to collaboration and participation, which were not perceived in purely theoretical classes. And so, we can consider that a survey served as a stimulus to educators and students in the use of games in classrooms.

O uso do jogo didático no ensino de química para alunos do ensino médio de uma escola pública: cartas da tabela periódica

The great lack of interest of students in teaching chemistry, especially with the use of the periodic table, is related to the traditionalism of expository classes, taught in the classroom, making them monotonous, both for the students and the teachers who teach these classes. From this observation, the need for innovation in these classes arose, with the aid of the didactic games tool, called the periodic table card game. This game tries to develop better learning and facilitate the recognition and identification of chemical elements, along with their physical and chemical characteristics. This work aims to create a didactic game, to assist teachers and students in teaching chemistry, facilitating the understanding of the contents covered in the classroom, more specifically chemical elements of the periodic table. The content was approached in a public school, with students from the 1st year of high school EJA (Youth and Adult Education), located in the neighborhood of Nova Cidade Manaus AM., Using a diagnostic questionnaire to collect data before applying the game and an evaluative questionnaire after the application of the game, for students and the teacher, in order to verify what contributions this tool would have in the teaching-learning process of this content. Theoretical classes were also used, in addition to a different methodology with the use of educational games. Classroom research was also carried out, looking for examples of the chemical elements in the students' daily lives, always adopting a technical and innovative language, with textbook activities and exercises. The results obtained were very satisfactory, as it is possible to observe through the graphs made in this work, the change of thought and concept about the periodic table, with the use of didactic games in the teaching of chemistry. It is concluded that the research, reached its objectives, contributing significantly to a better performance in the identification and memorization of the chemical elements of the periodic table, demonstrating that the use of didactic games is another auxiliary tool in teaching.

Estudo de caso: ocorrência e importância da experimentação no ensino de química em uma escola pública da cidade de Manaus

This work was developed with the middle school students of a public school in the city of Manaus in the year 2015, during the supervised internship through observation and follow-up, thus arising from the need to show occurrence and importance of experimentation in the teaching- learning. To carry out the study, a didactic sequence elaborated according to Zabala (1998), based on the sequence of unit 2, was used as a method. The sequence was developed with six high school classes, started with a questionnaire. With the accomplishment of the work, it was possible to perceive that the students were able to understand what was happening during the experimentation, and to assimilate with the theoretical content studied. In this way it is possible to associate the social interaction that favors the process of discovering Vygotsky's knowledge (1988) with the reality lived in this work. Therefore, it is extremely important to experiment in the teaching of Chemistry, since it arouses a strong interest among the students, showing that chemistry in the daily life is a coherent trategyfor the teaching-learning process.
