Teaching science is one of the missions of graduates and undergraduates of degrees in Chemistry, Biology and Physics. The dynamics of this process takes place in the form of constant differentiated activities that guarantee teaching process regarding the elements that compose and maintain nature. Among them we mention the vegetables that make up the Plantae kingdom. Thus, the current work had the general objective of providing information on the teaching of plants and ecosystems, contributing to the training of undergraduate students. The work is an analysis of the specific knowledge that students of Licentiate courses in Chemistry and Physics have about the Plantae Kingdom and its relations with Environmental Education. The methodology consists of a virtual didactic sequence initially focused on research on this topic with students in training in undergraduate courses, followed by an intervention with the use of videos and an assessment of the contents assimilated after the application of the video. Highlighting that in the pandemic process it was not possible to develop face-to-face. The results will demonstrate that the work contributes to the gaining of information regarding botanical knowledge in view of the positive results in the resolution of the final evaluating of the activities.

Manaus' urbanization was marked by igarapé3 -alterating processes, through channeling and embankments, which began in the nineteenth century, as well as through human occupation on its riverbanks, dumping of sewage and garbage. In this context, the following municipal measures of urban solid waste (USW) 4 management were analyzed: cleaning of shores and streams, garbage men of joy, voluntary delivery points, scheduled collection of large objects and dismantling of inappropriate trash cans. The research is explanatory, bibliographic, qualitative and quantitative with a questionnaire application by volunteering. In their textual and visual aspects, the environmental education campaigns presented restrain pollution of water resources, highlight the negative consequences of this action, and also publicize the municipal services mentioned above. In addition, social marketing’s ability to change values and mediate behaviors that lead to environmental education and conscious consumption was verified. Finally, was observed the need for overt, continuous and multimedia environmental social marketing campaigns to combat river pollution in Manaus.

Biology is an essential discipline for understanding ecosystems, as they are changed and how these changes affect the environment, the challenge Biology teaching to develop the ability to think logically and critically, is hardly achieved since the practice of the classroom, the reality found is of a governing teaching, authoritative and surrounded by lack of interest in doing something different from the students as well as teachers, so what we see is only the transmission of knowledge. Non-formal spaces have been constituted as a field for various research in education that seek mainly to understand the relationships between non-formal spaces and formal education in Brazil. Museums, zoos, and others have been studied, in partnership with schools as places conducive to the realization of environmental education projects, and museums and science centers have received the attention of researchers for involvement of the school community capability with the scientific culture. Thus, this study aimed to develop and analyze a practical activity in non-formal space in order to contribute to the formation of environmental citizens. The methodology used was a research-action adaptation based on the basic cycle of research-action that has four stages, plan, implement, describe and evaluate. The survey was conducted with four groups of the 2nd year of high school to technical built a Federal Institute. The results were significant in student learning because the activity has provided a new approach that made it possible to create a closer relationship between the students and the teaching of biology, which intensified the contact between students and nature, awakened environmental awareness and new attitudes towards the environment and the organisms studied in order to develop a sustainable conduct.

The theme addressed here aims to present the development of workshops for the practical teaching of vertical gardens with students of primary school public schools as a bias towards sustainability. In addition, it has been reflecting on the teaching learning process of sciences in the classes surveyed, as well as its disconnection with environmental education established as an opportunity to transform habits and attitudes that affect space, in addition to rethinking the place in which it is inserted. As a result of this work the research was based on sequence four of Zabala (1998), organized in 4 stages, which are: 1) Presentation of the Thematic; 2) Development of the Thematic; 3) Systematization of Knowledge and 4) Socialization of Knowledge. In this sense, it was concerned to adopt methodology in order to connect theory to practice and, on the face of it, the results showed that the workshops presented to the students were effective for their learning, because they showed how important it is to develop a sensitive and conscious behavior with the Nature, optimizing the society / school / environment relationship. It was evidenced in the results how the aspects of the development of workshops contributed to the development of the attitudes required by the education for sustainability, a robust requirement mainly because we inhabit the Amazon region.

The oil for frying food is trashed daily without following proper methods for it and it ends up being discarded in inappropriate places. Inappropriate frying food oil discharge creates several problems on our environment such as clogging of pipes (usually used for the sewer handling), soil and water contamination. Given the problem, one possible solution to avoid the oil to reach the environment is the ecological soap manufacturing using recycled oil. Given the presented scenario, the mail goal of this work is to discuss, design and create a process for soap manufacturing using collected recycled frying food oil from a local school in Manaus-AM, avoiding the oil to reach the environment and create more problems. Another goal of this work is to teach the students from the first year of High School about the risks of improper frying oil discharging on the environment teach environment education and alert about the impacts, contributing to the amazon biome.

Composting organic waste as a high school education generates value to the environmental field because students can differentiate and learn about physico-chemical and biological interactions caught in nature. An adequate environment to propagate nature protection is school, and for this it is necessary attitudes of environmental awareness, formation of values and skills and not only information and concepts alluding to the theme. Given this, environmental education provided critical and conscious training through practical activity, namely: conception of a composter under the presuppositions of environmental education, which contributed to the student reflect on their citizen performance, since it is from a reflective pedagogical practice Changes to a socio-environmental development. In the wake of this study, the present study highlighted the learning of composting in a state public school as a starting point for the awareness of student subjects emphasizing the importance of the environment, raising awareness, and assuming environmental education as a legitimizing tool for teaching practice by Means of practical activities, focusing on the transformation of organic waste into fertilizer favoring the construction of an environmental conscience committed to a sustainable future

Arboviruses are a public health problem because of the potential of the dispersal vector mosquito, its ability to adapt to new environments and hosts, and the possibility of causing epidemics. In Brazil, the main arboviruses are Dengue, Chikungunya and Zika, since arboviruses that cause these diseases obtain the same vectors that are commonly found in urban areas (Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus), due to the fact that the urban area offers conditions favorable to the development of these vectors, such as warmer climate, artificial and natural breeding sites for oviposition and population density. Despite these data, there are few studies in the Amazon regarding knowledge of urban populations in relation to the environment and interaction with the population. Thus, the school is a starting point for introducing health education so that students later disseminate information in society. From this perspective, the general objective of this work was to analyze the conceptions of the students of the third year of the High School of the State School Deputy Josué Claudio de Souza adjacent to the Environmental Protection Area (APA) of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) about diseases caused by vectors. of arboviruses. Given the proximity of this population to one (APA). To analyze the students' conception of the subject matter, a structured questionnaire was applied and the data collected were analyzed in a qualitative and quantitative manner. Entomological collections were performed at the peridomicile, forest edge and forest, to survey arbovirus vector mosquitoes, to finally show the data to the students, these data were quantified, identified and tabulated. From the analysis of the questionnaires, it was possible to conclude that the students have a satisfactory basic level of knowledge about the main arboviruses in Brazil, since the students correctly answered the questions corresponding to most categories of the questionnaire. However, only 23.3% were able to associate the presence of mosquitoes in the school due to the anthropization process of APA-UFAM. This is alarming given that vectors of arboviruses (Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus) and species with records of natural arbovirus infections (Limatus durhamii) were found in the school. On the forest edge (Trichoposopon digitatum) and in the forest (Sabethes glaucodaemon and Trichoposopon digitatum) were found mosquitoes that are naturally infected with arboviruses that can be transmitted to humans. Based on the analysis of the questionnaires, a lecture was held to explain the existing doubts and the relationship between the natural environment and the urban environment, their consequences due to the anthropization process related to the public health problem, arboviruses.
