The Educational Product entitled “Manual of Alternatives for Assistance to Students Who Drop Out Of the Technical Course Subsequent to High School in Public Services at IFRR/Campus Boa Vista Zona Oeste” is a set of alternatives aimed at meeting the existing demand at the aforementioned Campus in view of the dropout rates in the course and in the mentioned modality. Therefore, it is aimed especially at managers and students who are in the condition of dropouts, as well as those interested in the subject. For the former, the guidance is specifically related to the possibility of promoting/adopting the alternatives presented or strategies that permeate them, with a view to meeting the existing demand. For the latter, the guidance is focused on the process of taking advantage of the alternatives and/or strategies that may be adopted by the institution, especially considering that this attitude tends to make them leave the condition of dropouts. Regarding the contribution of the educational product to those interested in the subject, we understand that this material can be another document that can serve to generate insights for the development of new materials, aiming to contribute to the reduction of dropout rates that are generally quite significant in this type of education. In this sense, the authors, Hudson do Vale de Oliveira (master's student) and Maria Francisca Morais de Lima (supervisor), through their experiences and practices in education, especially with a focus on EPT, proposed and constructed this educational product as a way of presenting possibilities so that, despite the particularities of each student in their educational process, the existing social demand can be adequately met.

The study aims to analyze the main challenges faced by students of the Technical Course in Public Services Subsequent to High School at IFRR/CBVZO and the possible alternatives and pedagogical strategies that can be implemented to enable the completion of the course. The specific objectives are: a) to understand the challenges faced and the students' perception regarding possible solutions for completing the course; b) to analyze how students who dropped out perceive such challenges from the perspective of overcoming them, with a focus on its completion; c) to map, in light of the perception of students who dropped out and others involved in the phenomenon, in what way(s) the completion of the course could be made possible; and d) to present as an educational product a manual with alternatives for the “rescue” of students who dropped out. The study, aligned with the research line “Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education” and centered within the macroproject “Organization of Pedagogical Spaces of EPT” by ProfEPT, presents a qualitative approach, of an applied, exploratory and descriptive nature, using bibliographical and documentary research and case study as procedures. It was carried out at IFRR/CBVZO, specifically with students who dropped out of classes of the Technical Course in Public Services subsequent to high school, also considering the teachers and administrative technicians who worked with the course, as well as managers. In data collection, the following techniques were considered: a) application of forms to the students; b) conducting interviews with the teachers who worked in the course, as well as with the technical team that supported its implementation and, also, with the managers; and, c) the analysis of the guiding documents for the creation of the technical courses offered by IFRR/CBVZO, focusing on aspects related to the research in question. The research was submitted to the Research Ethics Committee (CEP), following the procedures required for conducting research with human beings. The information collected was analyzed qualitatively, using content analysis (Bardin, 2016). As an outcome of the research, with regard to the elaboration of the educational product, a Manual of Alternatives for Assistance to Students Who Drop Out Of the Technical Course Following High School in Public Services of IFRR/Boa Vista West Zone Campus was produced, therefore considering the different perceptions and suggestions of the actors involved in the study. We found that, in relation to not completing the course, the greatest difficulty presented by the students who dropped out was the demands related to the curricular internship. When we analyzed this result, we identified that the biggest problem for students who dropped out was related to writing the report, and some even indicated that they felt blocked when faced with the need to write down their reports about their internship

Guia de estudo: como combater a evasão escolar?
(2023-10-30) Silva, Romilson Alves da; Anic, Cinara Calvi
Brazilian education has been experiencing the problem of school dropout for a long time. According to the United Nations Children’s Fund, in a study carried out for this institution in 2022, it was found that two million individuals between the ages of 11 and 19 left school and had not yet completed basic education (UNICEF, 2022). There are several reasons that led these students to drop out, such as lack of identification with the course, family problems, among others. One of the difficulties faced in minimizing this problem is the lack of consensus on the concept of evasion, which challenges the development of effective public policies aimed at this issue. The Guide presented here was born from a master’s degree research carried out in a public school in Itaituba-PA with managers, teachers and students who dropped out of Integrated to Technical High School course. The research showed that there are no effective actions on the art of government spheres to combat evasion, although there are some specific initiatives. Given this context, we created this Study Guide to guide school managers, pedagogues and teachers towards actions that contribute to minimizing dropouts in Secondary Technical Professional Education. Highlighted are actions related to school management, alternatives to expand partnerships between the school and other institutions, such as Education Departments and private companies, as well as suggestions for teachers regarding teaching work, welcoming students and the school itself. school-family articulation. We hope that this Guide can effectively contribute so that the school community as a whole can strengthen the bond with families and students themselves so that, together, they can envision possibilities to keep students in school, especially in the context of technical professional education. middle level.

A evasão escolar no ensino médio integrado no contexto da escola de ensino técnico do estado do Pará
(2023-10-30) Silva, Romilson Alves da; Anic, Cinara Calvi; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1702387634067240; Anic, Cinara Calvi; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1702387634067240; Lacerda Junior, José Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4731128445071858; Cruz, Rodrigo Andrade da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1217168298015818
The study presented here sought to identify what factors have led students from the Integrated Technical High School at a school in Itaituba-PA to drop out of school, based on reports from students, teachers, and the management team. School dropout is a phenomenon that has historically been present in the daily life of schools, resulting from various causes such as hunger, lack of affinity with the pedagogical proposal of the school and the course, lack of family structure, social inequality, among other factors that cause this problem in educational institutions in the country. The study shed light on issues related to school dropout and its causes, which have already been addressed in works such as Dore and Lüscher (2011); Bordini (2011); Karasinski (2019); Pereira (2003); Pereira (2019), among others cited in the theoretical basis. Faced with this mishap that afflicts education professionals, we set out with the following research problem: What factors have led to students dropping out of Integrated Technical High School at a school in Itaituba-PA, from the standpoint of the students who dropped out, teachers and the school's management team? As for the specific objectives, we established the following: 1) To identify in the literature possible reasons for dropout in technical high school courses in the Amazon context; 2) To verify possible actions to tackle dropout developed within the scope of the Integrated Technical High School in a public school in Itaituba-PA; 3) To develop pedagogical material that can contribute to minimizing dropout in Integrated High School, taking as reference the reports of dropout students, teachers, and the management team. The methodological approach is based on qualitative case study research. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and direct observation. For data analysis, we followed the Spiral proposed by Creswell (2014). The research was carried out with students who had dropped out of the secondary technical course in Agriculture at the aforementioned school, teachers, and the management team. It was found that social vulnerability is the main motivating factor for dropping out, considering the need for work to help support the family. There is also no consensus on the concept of dropout, either among the students or the management team. Actions to deal with dropout are local and left to the discretion of each school and, although they exist, they are little applied. Based on the reports of the research participants, a study guide was produced as an educational product to guide education professionals in tackling school dropout, providing support for school managers, educators, and teachers in actions to accompany students in preventing school dropout. We hope that the results presented here will help to ensure that the right to education, guaranteed by the Constitution, is realized for all and that they will inspire other studies to help understand school dropout

The present work presents the results of a research that aimed to investigate the factors that have led students to drop out of school from the subsequent modality of the Advanced Campus Manacapuru and what educational product could be developed in order to contribute to the permanence and success of the students. The topic is being discussed since the developments that accompany the expansion of the EPT Network (Professional and Technological Education), including the dropout and retention rates. This work assumes that the measures to be adopted to ensure the completion of subsequent technical courses need to consider the specifics of each regional context and the profiles of the subjects served - that is why the analysis of the specific case in the Advanced Campus Manacapuru belonging to the Federal Network of Education, located in the State of Amazonas, 80 kilometers from the capital Manaus. Fifteen dropout students, 05 professors, 05 technical-administrative servers and the campus manager participated in the research. To develop the research, we used the case study method because it allows to investigate a contemporary phenomenon within its real context, in this case the investigated campus. The research results, based on the data analysis spiral proposed by Creswel (2014), pointed out that the factors that have led students from the subsequent modality of the Manacapuru Advanced Campus to dropout are: attending higher education; the feeling of discouragement with the course, due to different aspects, and financial difficulties for not having a professional occupation; sick leave and new job; insecurity and personal difficulties; lack of identification with the area; lack of flexibility in working hours; learning difficulties. In view of these factors, an educational product was created, entitled Operational Protocol for Permanence and Success - POPE, which aims to contribute to the permanence and success of students. This product was evaluated by twelve members of the research group and by an ad hoc committee composed of five social workers from the IFAM countryside campuses.

This material is the resulto of the dissertation “Creation of a control panel for the prevention of school dropout at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas”. It is understood that the problem of dropping out of school generates impacts that are not restricted to students who drop out, since it is a situation that generates negative effects for the entire society. The creation of the control panel shown in this material aimed to provide institutions of Professional and Technological Education (EPT) with an easy-to-handle instrument, the correct use of which generates relevant information for the management of school dropout. It is worth noting that this is a scientific-based technological product, which can be replicated in other contexts related to be field of EPT, since school dropout is a problem for national magnitude which requires a diligente posture from school institutions. This material represents a contribution towards proposing a viable solution, which can support the decision-making processo of EPT institutions in preventing school dropout
