    Geogênio: explorando mapas com genialidade
(2023-12-15) Holanda, Marcos Farias de; Mendonça, Andréa Pereira
This educational product was developed within the scope of the Graduate Program in Technological Teaching (PPGET) at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Amazonas (IFAM). Its primary objective is to serve as a resource in the form of a didactic-pedagogical guide, intended for Geography teachers, to assist them in teaching the interpretation of thematic maps of Brazil in the context of the Geography discipline, considering 7th-grade students in the Lower Secondary Education. The educational product resulted from the planning and implementation of a teaching-learning proposal developed according to the principles of constructive alignment, the use of the flipped classroom model, the support of learning guides for autonomous study, and the use of analytical rubrics for assessment. Teaching content related to thematic maps in Lower Secondary Education poses complex challenges for Geography teachers. The lack or deficit of cartographic literacy in the initial grades of Lower Secondary Education, combined with the shortage of specific resources for teaching cartographic content, are some of these challenges. This situation has a negative impact on learning topics related to thematic maps in the final grades of Lower Secondary Education. This scenario can lead to a loss of interest among students in these contents and, as a result, an aversion to geographic themes. With the aim of mitigating these difficulties, we developed Geogênio, with the goal of functioning as a powerful resource to enhance Geography classes, contributing significantly to overcoming challenges related to the interpretation of thematic maps. This factor alone would be sufficient to make this product exceptional. However, its uniqueness goes beyond that, as the teaching strategies applied in Geogênio present themselves as a possibility for teachers of various subjects seeking engaging and effective teaching alternatives to improve their students' performance. Therefore, Geogênio is characterized as an alternative to enhance the teaching learning process of thematic maps in a completely interdisciplinary manner.

This educational product was developed with the objective of guiding Math teachers who work in Elementary School II, concerning the teaching of Descriptive Statistics. More specifically regarding the analysis of data from charts and graphs. It is based upon a research carried on at a master’s degree level, developed in the Postgraduate Program in Technological Education (PPGET), at the Federal Institute of the Amazon (IFAM) and meets the guidelines of BNCC (Common National Curriculum Base) and RCA (Amazonian Curriculum Reference) and is oriented to a Mathematical Problem-Solving approach and guided by Teaching and Learning research designs. In this educational product the teacher has accessto a set of guidelines on how to manage the contents and how to solve the problems related to descriptive statistics in Elementary School II, giving emphasis on data analysis from charts and graphs. Both the contents and the problem-solving guidelines meet the learning goals and follow the gradient of complexity to lead, in a proper way, to the teaching-learning process. Furthermore, throughout the product, the teacher has access to additional auxiliary reading material and teaching resources (such as guidelines, problems, etc.), always making use of a clear and objectivelanguage.

Planejamento de ensino e de aula: faça o seu!
(2022-12-14) Araújo, Ana Maria Oliveira de; Mendonça, Andréa Pereira
This educational product (PE) is the result of a research developed in the Professional Master's Course of the Postgraduate Program in Technological Teaching (PPGET), of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas (IFAM), and aims to enable undergraduate students for the autonomous elaboration of teaching and class planning, subsidized by reverse planning. We can understand reverse planning as an approach to planning teaching, organized in three stages: 1) identifying the desired outcomes; 2) determine acceptable evidence; and, 3) plan learning and instructional experiences. The central focus of reverse planning is to promote teaching for understanding, that is, teaching that allows students to make connections and organize their knowledge in a way that makes learning meaningful. Since the primary target audience for this product is undergraduate students, therefore, adult learners, this material brings together a set of resources that enable them to autonomously understand the meaning of planning and the approach to reverse planning, as well as put the concepts in practice in the elaboration of the teaching plan. In summary, this product was conceived from a “hands-on” perspective to help undergraduate students in their self-directed learning to iteratively and incrementally develop their teaching planning. This product can be equally useful to professors who work as professors in Licentiate Courses and who wish to adopt it as a teaching material to deal with concepts and practices related to the elaboration of teaching and class planning. It can also be adopted by beginning and veteran teachers interested in the subject and who wish to develop their teaching planning from the perspective of reverse planning.

This educational product was developed aiming at supporting teachers from high level courses related to Environmental areas to teach elementary techniques of image processing and interpretation from Sentinel-1 Radar. It was developed as part of a research project from the Master Course in Technological Teaching (MPET) and is based on Project-Based Learning, Constructive Alignment and Blended Learning. Such background encourages autonomous learning, real world problem solving and resources organization to promote learning both in classroom and beyond it. From this educational product the teachers get directions on how to promote such course in modules whose didactic goals, contents and activities form a complexity gradient that favors students’ learning. Besides that, in each module, the teacher is advised on how to: select and organize the theoretical concepts; organize classroom; identify which are the minimum technological resources required to carry out the proposed activities; and follow pedagogical guidelines related to such part of the course. The educational product excels in the use of clear language and didactic structure, without losing sight of the rigorous aspects required to learn Sentinel-1 Radar image processing and interpretation techniques.

Early students of Architecture can benefit from the active learning of the Architecture Programme in its first year of graduation, through a teaching proposal based on a project demand, that allows the approach of the architecture programme through the contact with a real client, with mediation of teacher. The main purpose of this guide is to disseminate our research, which combines the use of a project demand to engage students in architecture programme, principles of Constructive Alignment to plan teaching, learning and evaluation activities, and the organization and administration of activities on the classroom with adoption of Blended Learning. This guide aims to guide the application of the teaching proposal by other teachers. We explained the teaching proposal, we showed examples of application and some tools of evaluation and presentation of possible products. Innovative aspects of this work are the teaching and adaptation of the content to beginning students from the needs of a real client, given that the Architecture Programme, when approached, has its construction phase suppressed or when considered, it adopts construction models that are distant from the dialogue with the client. In addition, this work provides the implementation of Blended Learning in Architecture, following an emerging trend in Education.

In this guide we present a teaching-learning proposal of programming for Computer Network administration, considering the context of undergraduate courses in Computing area. This is an educational product from a research developed in the Professional Master's Degree in Technology Teaching (MPET) of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas (IFAM), Campus Manaus Centro and is intended for teachers of higher education in computing that teach disciplines of Computer Networks. We did this proposal as an alternative that provides a practical learning for disciplines of Computer Networks taught in higher courses, where the student learns to solve problems of Computer Networks with the use of Programming, with "hands on" approach. In addition to providing an increase in learning in both Computer Networks and Programming, this teaching proposal offers the student the skills improvement that is required in the professional world. To achieve these goals and place the student at the center of their learning, we adopted the flipped classroom format where students exercises the theory outside the classroom environment, while in class use the time and interaction with the teacher to solve practical problems involving the monitoring of network equipments and user actions, log analysis, synchronization of data and automatic issuance of alert messages. In order for other teachers to reproduce this experience, we created this guide where we provide all the required material, including videos, learning guides, guidelines for virtual laboratory creation, links, tutorials and suggestions on general procedures. In addition, we offer a set of student orientations so that teachers can guide them on how to develop their potential and achieve better learning outcomes.
