This master's research arose during my experience as a professor in the teacher training programs at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Amazonas (IFAM), Manaus Centro Campus (CMC), when I encountered the inclusion of deaf students regarding the communication that occurred between deaf students and hearing students at the school. This experience was further shaped by the doubts and concerns expressed by fellow educators and also by integrated high school teachers. Thus, the objective of this investigation was to understand how communication in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) occurs between hearing students and deaf students in the integrated high school at IFAM CMC. The research is structured into three chapters with the following sections: Chapter 1. Special education and the inclusion of people with disabilities, which contains three subsections: 2.1 - Legal foundations for the inclusion of people with disabilities; 2.2 - Paradigms for the inclusion of people with disabilities; and 2.3 - The inclusion of students with disabilities in the school environment. Chapter 2. Specific education for deaf students in professional and technological education, divided into three subsections: 3.1 - Legal foundations concerning Brazilian Sign Language (Libras); 3.2 - Communicational aspects of Libras; and 3.3 - Myths and curiosities about Libras. Chapter 3. The use of assistive technology for the deaf, including subsection 4.1 - Applications or tools for translation and interpretation to facilitate communication, which unfolds into seven tertiary sections: 4.1.1 – Hand Talk; 4.1.2 – Primeira Mão; 4.1.3 – Instant transcription; 4.1.4 – AVA: valuing communication; 4.1.5 – V Libras; 4.1.6 – Communication Mediation Center (CIC); and 4.1.7 – The ICOM. To achieve this, we chose to conduct a qualitative study through a case study at the Federal Institute of Amazonas, Manaus Centro Campus (IFAM CMC). The target population for this investigation will be the deaf students of the integrated high school, their teachers, educators, and Libras interpreters. The data collection instruments we will use include interviews, observation, questionnaires, and field diaries. For data analysis, we will use Discursive Textual Analysis (ATD). The outcome of this research will be an Educational Product - a Manual of Communication in Libras: Eyes that see, hands that speak. The proposal is to present to the school community of the regular education system a Libras manual with basic notions and tips on how to communicate with deaf students, aiming to facilitate communication among hearing students, deaf students, teachers of deaf students, and educators who maintain contact with everyone. Additionally, it will serve as support to facilitate the school inclusion of deaf students, as the Educational Product can be utilized in various sectors of the institution, contributing to basic communicational accessibility between the personnel in the sector and the deaf student.

(2021-12-20) Costa, Lucyane Maria Castro; Souza, Ana Cláudia Ribeiro de; ttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7472602272780097; Souza, Ana Cláudia Ribeiro de; ttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7472602272780097; Queiroz Neto, José Pinheiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8055796489225138; Segura, Eduardo Alberto das Chagas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9420561442249158
This dissertation aimed to research the theoretical-practical links between Creative Economy and Professional and Technological Education, that is, to make connections between the productive and educational structures, strengthening them. For this, the study sought new forms of professional performance beyond salaried employment as the only representative form of work for students. Nowadays, both formal education and the corporate world do not prepare the individual to be an entrepreneur. Therefore, the meaning of work needs to be expanded to reach its fullness and represent the resumption of the means of production, so that work through entrepreneurial activity is seen as this opportunity; in addition to achieving the independence, emancipation, and empowerment of individuals. Therefore, a work-oriented education is the possibility of connecting with a real-world activity, promoting the development of the student's abilities, as legitimate knowledge will be extracted from this practice, not simulated. The methodology used was the Discursive Textual Analysis with the aid of the bibliographic-conceptual method. A vast number of theoretical inputs, from national and international literature, was brought together to build a robust theoretical framework. The scientific dimension was completed with field research. The results achieved with the empirical survey contributed to the proposal of the educational product. Through them, exploratory research was possible by gathering data collected using a semi-structured questionnaire. The interfaces of understanding between the main themes of the study: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Creativity, Economy, Professional and Technological Education and Integrated High School were being built. The results pointed to the making of a business plan as the most effective content to be worked with students, as it is also connected with the pedagogical principles of the integrated curriculum, such as: the inseparability of theory and practice, interdisciplinarity, work as an educational principle and integral human formation; it becomes another possible career path for students. Thus, the educational product was planned as a proposal to be used to stimulate and equip Integrated High School students to deal with creative entrepreneurship. EPTCanvas for business: an economically creative ebook, it is instructional material to help transform ideas and ideals into a business reality

The main goal of the present work is to analyze how the teaching knowledge, linked to the pedagogical practice of the High School Vocational School (HSVS), contributes to the students' integral human formation from the integrated agriculture high School vocational course of the Federal Institute of Amazonas (IFAM). The specific objectives are: to identify the pedagogical knowledge used in the classroom at the vocational school; to enumerate the main difficulties found in the classroom for the students' integral human formation; to describe the possible pedagogical actions to be developed to improve teaching practice; to develop a product that favors the continuing education of teachers who work at HSVS and whose principle the integral human formation. This research was motivated by the following question: how is the teaching knowledge related to the students' integral human formation from the Integrated Agriculture course at the IFAM Campus Zona Leste? To answer this question, some questions were established: do the professionals working at the HSVS know the educational objectives that guide integrated high school education? Is continuing education a common practice among HSVS teachers? Do the institutional policies allow teachers to develop innovative teaching practices? The research was qualitative and the approach used was action research. The data collection instrument was the questionnaire. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was not possible to carry out the survey in loco. The theoretical contribution that supports the study is based on the ideas and conceptions of Tardif, Zabala, Libâneo, Pimenta, and other authors. The research was carried out with twenty professors from the IFAM Campus Manaus Zona Leste, with three or more years of experience. As a research result, a synthesis of professional training knowledge, the experiential knowledge, and the teacher's conception about the students' integral human training was carried out. Through the research, it was possible to establish a relationship between the teachers' conceptions and the way they develop their work in the classroom. When analyzing the teaching knowledge, it was noticed the importance of classroom experience together with the academic formation, since the teacher's perception about the student is fundamental in the learning process. This aspect is even more important in an integral human formation, in which the educational projects developed at the institution help in this process. It was noticed, therefore, that the continuing education of educators is necessary so that they can improve even more in this regard. As part of the research, a portfolio was developed as an educational product, created from the main ideas found during the research, and with the aim of supporting continuing education in integral human education.

This material is the resulto of the dissertation “Creation of a control panel for the prevention of school dropout at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas”. It is understood that the problem of dropping out of school generates impacts that are not restricted to students who drop out, since it is a situation that generates negative effects for the entire society. The creation of the control panel shown in this material aimed to provide institutions of Professional and Technological Education (EPT) with an easy-to-handle instrument, the correct use of which generates relevant information for the management of school dropout. It is worth noting that this is a scientific-based technological product, which can be replicated in other contexts related to be field of EPT, since school dropout is a problem for national magnitude which requires a diligente posture from school institutions. This material represents a contribution towards proposing a viable solution, which can support the decision-making processo of EPT institutions in preventing school dropout
